Hello all

All new to the world of Vguitar, but I have just received my GP-10...WOW, I love it!!

Reading from the manual I dug out my old Boss FV-50L and now I'm wondering if it can be used as an external expression pedal.
The manual says "Use Roland EV-5, FV-500H/L..." "By connecting any other expression pedals, you risk causing malfunction..."

When you look up FV-500H/L under GP-10 accessories the text says: http://www.bossus.com/gear/productdetails.php?ProductId=697
"The tradition continued with the FV-50 series, but today the bar has been raised with BOSS's FV-500L (stereo, low-impedance)..."

Can I use it somehow without risking damage? I know it doesn't have a exp output, but I've read other places about using a trs-TS/TS Y-cable...

Most GP-10 users use the Boss EV-5 Expression pedal for connection to the Boss GP-10's External Expression  /CTL jack.

You can use the the FV-50L as a Master Volume pedal, connected directly to the GP-10's stereo output jacks

However, the small FV-50L lacks the "Expression pedal mode" of its big brother   the FV-500L - (and will not work)

Hi Elantric

Thank you for your quick answer. Ok I'll leave as a master volume then.

FV-50L works as an expression pedal for me using a TRS effects loop cable with Ring to Input 1 and Tip to Output 1.

Which results in a 50k Audio taper pot, vs the typical EV-5 10k Linear pot
