LOL that Wifo "Remofinger" device on page 3 looks like it was manufactured solely to prove our earlier point about the need for better MIDI implementation in iOS apps.  As in, "I can't believe it's come to this."   ::)

WIFO REMOFINGER
Wifo from Seoul, South Korea, brought the slick new RemoFinger to NAMM. Consisting of a foot-controller and a separate console, RemoFinger uses the company's own proprietary Touch Pointer technology (top) and the latest ZIGBEE wireless technology—which reportedly uses less power than Bluetooth while switching faster—to enable you to switch settings on any apps (e.g., GarageBand) on Apple and Android devices. The Touch Pointer technology conducts current equal to the human finger in order to yield more traditional hands-free operation. RemoFinger will ship in November for $159, but for a limited time you can get it for an Early Bird price of $79 on Kickstarter.com.

QuoteInteresting, but obviously to limited

Actually i find WIFO RemoFinger more versatile / lower latency than a IK BlueBoard or Positive Grid BT-4

WIFO RemoFinger G Wireless Foot Controller for iPad / Android / Windows Surface Touchscreen control

Unlimited usability with the variety of apps including GarageBand, Mobile Pod, AmpliTube, JamUp, Loopy or SampleTank, etc.
Unique technology on the suction cup emulates your finger touch and triggered from the pedal
Controls up to 4 points (channels)
Wirelessly connected up to 65ft (20m)
No Bluetooth or MIDI setting is required

The RemoFinger G is the world's most unique and innovative wireless foot controller that remotely controls any apps on iPad, iPhone iPod touch or iPad Pro.
It emulates a finger touch on the screen when the Pedal is pressed.

Simply, the Most Intuitive Controller Ever
If you're a guitar or  bass player who uses effects & amps simulation apps such as GarageBand, JampUp, AmpliTube, Mobile POD, AmpKit, ToneStack GO, StompBox and so on :

Turn stompbox switches on and off
Select presets
Start and stop recordings
If you're doing one person performance of which performer has to do everything by himself/herself :

Change your voice or instrument tone freely
Control individual audio track according to your scenario
If you're any musician who're willing to have someone to turn your music score pages instead of you :

Turn the pages forward or backward without using hands
It works with any page viewer app such as the PDF Reader. No specific music score app is required. (It even works with Apple's iBooks!)
If you want to make some creative performances using a loop app such as Loopy  :

Start and stop recordings
Play and pause the recorded loops
If you're currently using a fully featured DAW(Digital Audio Workstation) under Mac or PC environment and just want to have a MIDI foot controller for that :

Download and launch your preferred music controller apps from the app store. Once you make the virtual MIDI or keyboard connection between your portable device and your computer, the RemoFinger G will become your customized wireless foot controller that seamlessly works under your foot control
Don't pay your effort to remember what settings have been assigned to each pedal, store all presets just into the app but not into your head.
If you belong to none of the above, just imagine what you can use the RemoFinger G for. Yes, its ability is actually not limited!

;D  4 years after my initial atempt to use an iPad as a substitute for a conventional guitar setup "hi-tech" equipment has led to this?  :o

It's been 3 years since I ditched ios as a viable option for performing live. Remote control is a gamble and I just couldn't risk an frustration related heart attack. The only option I've got to work reliable is by using the IconnectMIDI4+ and hooking everything up by wire. By the time I got it working to my liking, I was hauling more gear and using more time to achieve what my VG-99 and FC300 could do more reliable and with greater flexibility. It actually makes me sick to my stomach thinking about all the money I've wasted on apps being close to achieve what I could do perfectly by purchasing a dedicated hardware tool.

Cudos to those who still can make it work, but I'm not trusting a multipurpose device for critical stuff anymore.  :)

PS. I bought my last (for now) Apple device back in 2012 (wife and 11 year old still on the bandwagon).
PPS. The text editing tools provided in ios is made out of pure ignorance. It's hillariously difficult to place the cursor at the spot I want it to be when editing forum posts. It insists on selecting whole words.
To V or not to V: That is the question.

But... it does not have any options for any type of external control, what-so-ever !!
You can run Katana AIR app on iPad and connect wirelessly to a genuine Katana AIR , then use a Wifo WRG-400 to control

Control a GT-1000 as well
