So I ebayed this sucker.  Add it to my list of one trick pony synths.  This is a really interesting one.  It has a very powerful VA synth engine but its forte is the VariPhrase sampling engine and of course, cosm effects.  I've been able to create sounds with this keyboard that I didn't think possible without spending hours doing soundscaping in a pro tools session.  Check out this awesome article about the V Synth V2.  It really is a one of a kind piece of kit.  Shame that they're discontinuing the GT this year.  Just like the VG it fell victim to bad marketing.  This is a hell of a board.

Wait, are you selling it or did you buy it? I always wanted a VariPhase machine...

Bought it.  It's a quirky piece of equipment but it does some pretty unique things and is easy to edit and play.  Not a single regret buying it.  There are a bunch of them on ebay last I checked including the XT and VariOS racks.

ok, you have inspired me - just put in a bid on a variOS rack... :)

Nice.  Ebay is the way to go for v synth related stuff.  Better than paying 3500 for the GT.  I think the price point is the big reason it didn't sell so well.  Such a shame.

Same with the VG-99.  Price and marketing.  Anyway, I saw X-Ray Simon's demo with the V-Synth GT and was impressed.  Let us know how you like it when you get it.
