Hi,

I've run into a strange issue. I have a MBPro early 2016, running macOS 10.13.1 (High Sierra). I installed the latest version of Tone Studio and the Katana USB-driver. The Katana is not recognised by my Mac if I connect it directly via a USB-cable. However, if I connected it through a cheapo, non-powered USB-hub the amp is recognised. Exactly the same phenomenon occurs on my bootcamp partition on which I also installed TS (driver was installed automatically). Does anyone have a logical explanation for this? Just curious.

Thanks,

Wopke

My guess  (!) would be, that the USB signal is not strong enough for the Mac USB port but strong enough for the hub (which works as a repeater).

I would try a different USB cable.

Is the Katana connected to a usb-c port? Maybe there something is not matching correctly...

Hi,

Thanks for your replies. I borrowed a different cable and that one worked straight away so this one goes back to the Karwei.

Thanks again!
