Use the drivers above only If a native VG-99 or VB-99 driver does not already exist for your target Operating System -

There are reported problems with the new Roland VG-99 Drivers

Most folks are currently having the best results with Edirol UA-4X drivers instead (OSX Snow Leopard, Win7 64, etc)

Hello,
I have already asked fro driver help on another thread in this user group. However, I did want to point out that the Edirol driver no longer works since I have upgraded to Windows 7 Premium Home Edition 64 bit. When I try to install this driver (it did work under Vista 64 bit) I get a message saying that the driver will not install since it is not compatible with the current OS. When I plug in the VG99 and bring up the editor, I cannot even find the Edirol driver in my midi list.

I also tried using the new Windows 7 Roland driver. It says it installs the driver but never finishes the installation and leaves me hanging with an install dialog. The control panel shows the VG99 icon and all of the infor looks correct (as per the driver Readme file), however, again the device does not show up under the midi set-up menu in the editor.

Hope someone has a solution. I like my VG99 but I am getting pretty tired of waiting on Roland!!!

This is a known issue with the Win7 drivers... check your other thread.. Roland has already released a 1.01 version for win7 [32 and 64 bit] on home site.

So far, I'm not able to get these to work with Mac OS 10.9.  Are there any tricks?  Yes, I have the VG-99 set in Standard USB mode.

Set the VG-99 USB Audio to "Advanced Mode" prior to installing the USB driver.
