Hello Elantric.I recently downloaded Version 2.10 for GT-100 and I am getting Midi loop back error.Make sure Midi Thru is switched off. GT-100 does not have midi thru function and I have rescanned  Midi Setup several times, removed and added the device back. Checked all versions of all hardware and software including Bosstone Studio.I have used GTFx Floorboard and it tries to initialize just as Bosstone studio but it cannot see the driver. I have installed Ver2-1 driver correctly. When I use Logic Pro X it does not recognize a midi device either.Obviously something is wrong but I cannot figure it out. Also I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for GT 100 and it is showing Ver 2.10. Updater message is Bin File missing . Please help .

What is your OS?

(MacOS Sierra?)

Most problems with -Roland boss gear is directly attributed to the owner not reading and following the steps detailed in the installation instructions Roland/Boss has provided (Read_Me.htm or PDF installation instruction file) already contained inside every firmware /USB Driver/BTS download file from  Roland /Boss

Those help files are crucial reading

Have you updated your GT-100 firmware to 2.10 yet?

do the firmware update first, then you will be able to use the new USB driver.
Free "GR-55 FloorBoard" editor software from https://sourceforge.net/projects/grfloorboard/

Yes I updated the firmware and installed in the correct order. MacOS 10.12 . I must be the only person to encounter that particular bug. I have been using 2.03 since the update a while ago. I am using Boss as a controller for my DAW and automation. For some reason Mac was saying it could not see Midi device. The next time it said Midi loopback error and Midi Thru needed to be turned off.  I must say, Roland manuals are a little different  :-\    . For example it says HOW TO INSTALL  "When using BOSS TONE STUDIO for GT Ver.1.0.0-Ver.1.1.0" .  Is it me or shouldn't that say   GT Ver.2.10 ?  That is clearly part of the instructions. I hope this works.

All Boss Tone Studio for Windows download links have been removed while Roland /Boss sort out why recent MS Windows update/Adobe AIR updates present a conflict for the BTS Installer

If you already have HYS installed ,please DO NOT REMOVE IT .

I might take a few months for Roland/Boss to deliver a fix

Meanwhile ,use Gumtown's Floorboard Editor for your device (Katana,GP-10,GT-100,GT-001)

To all those having problems installing tone studio on windows 10: Set your date back (a year will do) and then run the install - this will get it installed and then you can change the date back to the correct date - All Good!
I believe it is probably something like a code signing certificate has expired (or similar) - changing the date gets around whatever check it is performing during the install. Enjoy!
