First post from a long-time lurker. I learned about Yonac ToneStack from Elantric's posts and have now become a fan. I'll be mainly using a few good amps from Bias Amp via IAA (e.g. Twin and Deluxe Reverbs and AC30) but I'm also trying to figure out what amps we have in ToneStack. The original descriptions are here:
- Basic List (6 amps): http://www.yonac.com/tonestack/store.html
- The Motherload (40 additional amps): http://www.yonac.com/tonestack/ampscabs.html

This now includes all 46 amps in the 3.0 Motherload. The list is shown twice - once alphabetized by ToneStack name, and a second time broken into guitar vs bass amps and then more-or-less alphabetized by name of the real amp.

Assume errors in this list. The more contributions we get the better the list will be. Looking forward to corrections and additions, I'll update the list as they come in.

Input from cplm, see below, thanks!

Need more input from folks, still have doubts about these: '64 DualVerb, Bear Republic, Burn, Eighteen Special, Modern Gain, NeckWringer, Silver Trembler, Wrecking Ball

> Orange AD200B is a bass amp
Yeah, sloppiness on my part, I had them reversed. Fixed that, thanks.

> Eighteen Special = Marshall 18W (1964-65)
One of many confusing Yonac descriptions - "boutique" led to me to the Category 5 Tsunami (based on the Marshall 18 IIRC). But the description mentions "British Invasion" while Category 5 is near Dallas. I switched it to Marshall 18W since it's a classic amp and an obvious choice for modelling.

> NeckWringer = Vox AC?? White
I was thinking the NeckWringer might be the Dumble Overdrive Special, but the description almost certainly would've said something about "boutique." Vox AC-something better matches the description, but there's already several Vox's in the collection. I don't think this is a Matchless, but maybe one of the others is.

> Wrecking Ball = Dumble (Dumb Ball)
Ok, could be Dumble, but maybe also could be Trainwreck Circuits. Another almost deliberately confusing description. I've put both for now.

BigDon

Now I'm really wondering what the Wrecking Ball is - a Dumble or something else. It's just become one of my favorites, played with a Twang King Tele neck pickup.

I'm thinking this part of the description should be a hint, but it's not helping me figure it out:
"Taking its provenance from modern country ..."

Wrecking Ball is title of popular Emmylou Harris love with Buddy Miller ( Vox AC-30 top boost ) produced by Daniel Lanois (U2 joshua tree)

But a"  Trainwreck " Amps were custom east coast amps based on Vox AC-30 by Ken Fischer (1945-2006)
QuoteAs of 2010, Trainwreck amplifiers fetch $25,000 and up

BigDon

That's making a lot more sense, thanks! Wrecking Ball updated accordingly.

BigDon

Thanks cplm! That's pretty cool - and needed!

But now I feel compelled to go back through the damn list, argh. Nice to know the info is in the interface, but I'd also like to see the list of amps together.

Just did a quick check on the effects and there's more hints to the identity of each, but they're not necessarily called out by name. Not surprising, but would've been nice.

BigDon

Went through the descriptions in the IOS User Interface and found a few things, made the few updates I found.

For the most part, though, those descriptions are as cryptic as the ones online. Keeping us guessing.

Am I crazy? Doesn't the Super Gain look like a dead ringer for a Soldano SLO-100? Instead of a Mesa Boogie?

Yeah, corrected, thanks
