VG-99 Normal 1/4" Guitar to Midi?

Hi, this is my first post in this forum, although  I was in the VG8 forums years ago... I can still see my VG8 patches are there from 1999!

A few weeks ago I was using the VG99 as a preamp to record acoustic guitar into cubase, when I noticed that it was activating midi notes. The GK cable was disconnected, I was just using the guitar in jack. It was doing monophonic audio to midi, triggering it form a normal pickup. I didn't think the VG99 could do this. I must have changed some settings because I can't get it to do it again.

Has anyone else notice this?

Yes, make sure GUITAR TO MIDI is ON.

Thanks, but there is no problem playing midi with the GK pickup. I write all my midi stuff that way. I was asking about when it triggered a mono midi signal via a normal guitar jack, with out the GK cable even plugged in.
