First of all, hello everyone, this is my first post.

I recently had my VG-88 nicked out my car, and instead of replacing it with another VG-88 I decided the logical progression would be to upgrade to the VG-99. So far all is good, and I really like the 99 although the learning curve is much different to the 88, and it's taking some getting used to. I've found nearly all the patches I need to get started, but there was a patch on the 88 that I really liked called Octave12. It sounded like an organ/keyboard and went really well with songs like "Runaway" by Del Shannon.

I've had a good look around the forum to see if there's a way to get this patch copied over, but I'm at a loss to be honest on this one, and the "Organ" patch on the 99 seems a little bassy to me.

Does anyone have any suggestions or have a keyboard patch they have created and willing to share that sounds like the VG-88 Octave12 patch?

Thanks in advance!

Do you have a recording of that patch?  I might be able to approximate it if I can hear it.

Apologies - the patch was called OCTAVE24.

Here's a short recording...

Almost sounds like a Farfisa organ.  I'll see what I can do.

Maybe a current VG88 owner can take a look at it and help figure out how to recreate on the VG99?  I used to own one and remember liking that patch as well.
