Anyone try one of these yet? Looks really good on paper and at half the price of an iRig or Apogee it has me curious. http://www.alesis.com/core-1

May just go for it at $50. Not much information on it by users except Amazin reviews.

I have an Alesis I|O 2 and iDock, but in 2015 im done with Alesis as a source for a quality audio interface  -  Analog instrument preamps & Mic Preamps are very important for DSP Guitar modeling  - and the Alesis ones Ive tried (IO - DOCK, I|O2  - are just too noisy and lack clarity and have poor noise floor.)

For iPad and BIAS FX get a used iRig Pro for $80 and have great clean audio and a MIDI input jack for adding a MIDI foot pedal control

or if on a budget - a Fender Slide $45 at zzounds

I believe the new $55 Vox Amplug I/O with 24 bit audio would be  superior sounding compared to the Alesis Core1

and you get JamVox III app

Thanks for letting me know some of their preamps are noisy. I was worried about that. I was looking at the irig also. Will probably just go that route.
