We're running out of 2016, remaining inventory must be sold out by December 31st!

Time to select your top products for 2016.

Anybody who reads my posts (and my thanks to both of you) can guess that my top pick for the year is easily the Mel-9 from EHX. My second place would be the Roland Cube Street Ex, but that's not actually new gear, except to me.

Pretty short list for me this year. You?

Hands down: MIDX-20!

An oversight on Boss/Roland's part created a niche for a box that's much more versatile (and simple) than anything  Boss/Roland would ever come up with.

Simple looking box, belies the versatility it gives you.
ES Les Paul, internal Roland GK
Boss SY-1000, Valeton Coral Amp pedal
Morningstar MC8 & MC6
QSC CP8 powered speaker

Why do you guys like the GT-1 so much? What makes it unique compared to everything else out there?

IMHO it's a combination of factors: size, weight, capabilities, control & price. It's somehow limited (FX chain too short at times) but covers all the basics and more. For an improvised gig, practice on the go and recording on your laptop it's close to perfect. You can have the right guitar tone when you need it. Compared to GT-100 and GT-001 lacks dual channel and FX chain and sure they used a tad lesser DSP but it weights only 1.3 kg compared to 4.8 kg of GT-100 and you still have a 38 secs looper! In any case not a substitute for VG99!
