Keyboard players operation modes:

? As a VST host for live operation, with the ability to control up to 12 VSTi /VST Sfx controllable by a connected MIDI keyboard (not included.

I signed up to their newsletter and got an update today with a brief feature spec PDF. It looked a bit like vapourware, but the PDF makes me think they're a bit more serious than I thought.

I hope this materialises. It looks fairly powerful. I can't post the PDF as I'm working on my iPhone today, but the basic points are:

1024 x 600 LCD
Hosts up to 8 VST/VSTi's (32 bit windows .dll's)
Hi/Low instrument ins
XLR mic in
2 balanced jack outs
2 XLR outs
4 foot switches available but expandable by 2(4?) switch ins and 4 expression pedal ins
4 USB ports
HDMI out
RJ45 LAN

Looks like it can run a good selection of plugins, including Amplitube and Guitar Rig.

It also states a MIDI keyboard can be used, so if the system supports plug and play MIDI, maybe the Triple Play will work.

Looks like they've thought carefully about audio routing too, as each of the 8 plugin slots can be assigned a separate audio in/out source/ destination.

I guess it all depends on price but I'll certainly be watching this carefully. Hope it doesn't end up being a bit of a tease like the SM Pro V-Pedal.

Sorry if this has been discussed, but couldn't find mention of it in search.

Also have an Italian domain with the same message. The registrant is one of these guys, Carlo Alberto Paterlini :

It might hold water, but I doubt it. Looks like old GEM stuff...

But wait for the price - it might make more sense to just get a MacMini and build a system on the floor with that.

VPED is rather reminiscent of the Atomic StudioDevil

It bugs me they specify 32-bit Windows .dll.
Doesn't mention VST3 support.
Doesn't mention tempo control...

It might be tempting, but it feels like it raises more questions than it answers...
Address the process rather than the outcome.  Then, the outcome becomes more likely.   - Fripp

This is a quick but quite complete review of our vPed VST host Pedal Board at MusikMesse 2015.

Julian and Alberto takes us trough some of the main aspects and features of this versatile machine, using guitar and keyboard synths.

It was made at the end of MusikMesse show and just before taking all our Booth down, so we were a bit tired and improvisied the whole thing.
We hope you find it useful.

So is the Vped discontinued? I see one on sale but it says "email when available". It might be be better investment to get an ipad instead...

No, they seem to be shipping.  The web site I see says "Expect shipping in 6 to 9 days"

As ShawnB points out - these issues remain

Doesn't mention 64 bit support.
Doesn't mention VST3 support.
Doesn't mention tempo control...

64 bit VST plug ins do not work.

In the Musikmesse vid love the tape stop effect and there appears to be a pretty awesome string sound from stock 1/4 pups which he holds and noodles over. Harmonica effect from 1/4 inch is cool too. Very interesting box.

Check out the strings in this demo - all from 1/4 inch at 38 seconds in

The 1/4" synth plug in appears to be called Paddington  - but can't find any info on it.

Ahh....hang on - I notice Jam origin Midi Guitar is listed as one of the pre-installed plug ins albeit demo version, Still, if it is that, it appears to run a helluvalot better than my ipad version

You should try the desktop version of MIDI Guitar 2

Everyone agrees the MIDI Guitar IOS version is much slower compared to the latest Desktop version of
Jam Origin MIDI Guitar 2.2

i saw someone listed this on Reverb fro 500 USD earlier this year. I've been hesitant on pulling the trigger (just got a quote on the Pro version). Just seems like a great pair with the Tripleplay

not supporting 64 bit version isn't a deal-breaker me (though loading the Helix Native would be killer!). The only problem i have with those is tempo and MIDI control not mentioned but it could support VST3. Maybe I should pull the plug and post an indepth review here since there seems to be none at this time?

Well i pulled the trigger on this device:

I played Pianos and pads with the GR-55 for years (singing sometimes also) without a problem. Used a Baritone Les Paul normal tuning, semi-flat wound with balanced tension, upgraded to the FTP/Shuriken combo with same setup (so far not as good but i haven't jump over the learning curve)

Planning to see how it works with MIDI Guitar 2. I think the main problem with a stand alone Audio to MIDI pedal is that limited amount of guitarist with Hardware Synths not willing to learn to play keys. Many conversations with my wife about vguitar gear end with "why don't you just get a piano"

Latency is VST dependent. i use Lennar Sylenth1, TruePainos, and Studio Devil's Amp Modeller Pro with no noticeable latency. Some older VST's like 4Front and Impulse Response reverb i notice latency but still better than GR-55 i had.

So can I ask why you're using tripleplay and not Jam origin VST on the vped?

quite like the left fieldness of the vped!

simply for the string split. The FTP in mono hardware mode is a no-nonsense 6 channel midi controller. I'm able to load Kontakt and i can assign single engines per strings, 2-3 Kontakt 'pedals' per vboard for a full orchestra ensemble.  Jam Origin is quite good, and surprisingly does leads well, but it's a different animal; its fun with non GK/FTP equip guitars and the Variax
