Hi all,
I'm a recent convert to the VG-8, I loved it so much I bought two!
I'm now looking at adding some additional synthesis to the mix in the form of a GR-20.
My question is, what's the best / easiest way to hook them up so they can be used together?
For the band I'm currently playing with I'll be predominantly using the VG-8, but there are songs that would benefit from just piano / string sounds.
Can I link them via midi, or do I need some kind of splitter cable from the guitar?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Definitely need to split the 13 pin GK signal to both units.
You can run the VG-8 output into the GR-20, and use the GR-20 to control the mix between VG-8 and GR-20,
and use the GR-20 'summed' output (of both VG-8 & GR-20) mixed to a single stereo out.
Free "GR-55 FloorBoard" editor software from https://sourceforge.net/projects/grfloorboard/

Likewise with the VG-8

After you employ the Roland US-20 A/B/Y Selector switch, You can run the GR-20 output into the Aux IN on VG-8, and use the VG-8 to control the mix between VG-8 and GR-20,
and use the VG-8 'summed' output (of both VG-8 & GR-20) mixed to a single stereo out.

I would never have thought of that.
