A rough mix of an intrumental I just had to make after hours of listening to the magnificent Eric Gales. Drums from Superior Drummer. Everything else is VG-99 through and through.

To V or not to V: That is the question.

Yeah, cool and powerful.
Virtual VG99 guitars also or are you using your real guitar pickups?

rolandvg99

The main rhythm guitar as well as the main lead is my mag pickups. The rest is virtual guitar stuff.

Sounds nice and organic.
Would care to explain a bit what instruments are present in the different elements of the mix (melody, chords, brass, bass, etc...)?
I like that wall of sound.
thanks for sharing.

Drums - Superior Drummer
Bass track - COSM Bass through Modern Bass amp.
Riffing rhythm guitar - Mag pickups using my Mag multi FX patch
Wah rhythm guitar - COSM strat using the Mag multi FX patch
edit! Octave melody (mellow and distant) - COSM Strat using the Mag Multi FX patch (I falsely stated using the COSM L4 with my Old School Blues patch which was my first take, but sounded a bit off. The take used is COSM Strat in neck+mid position with a chorus on top)
Melody and fills from start to finish - COSM strat using the Mag multi FX patch
Additional Melody and lead - Mag pickups using my Mag multi FX patch

My Mag guitar is my scalloped (30 mins with a Dremmel) Japanese left hand Fender Strat with EMG SA pickups. The COSM stuff is done with my Fender Strat Plus.

PS. Most of my patches use massive small room reverb in the 0.1-0.6 ms range for that in-the-room feel. For filling out leads I relly on some delay.
