********I modified the wav file 9/9/17.....to a little better clip**********************************************************

Thought it would be fun to try making an audio file to play along with. here is how I did it.

step1: recorded my Casio wk3000 using Audacity (free recording software) on my computer
step 2: removed the usb stick from my GR-55 (you have to buy one separately )
step 3: plugged the usb stick into my computer's usb port
step 4: I saved the Audacity recording onto my computer as a 'wav' file ( this is an option on the {File/audio export} of Audacity
step 5: copied the wav file from my computer to the usb stick (I could have done this directly from Audacity...but I also wanted a copy on my computer)
step 6: put the usb stick back in the GR-55....THEN turned on the GR-55
step 7: now ready to play the wav file. press 'audio player button'
step 8: select the wav file...using the  Dial cursor. right cursor to set the play back volume
step 9: press the 'enter' button to start the playback
step 10: use the 'page' button to advance/rewind the wav file....if you pause it

I have included the wav file I made, and an mp3 of my attempt to play along with the wav file (remember...I am a rhythm player ::) )

Also...I have a small Alesis usb mixer I used to record (usb from Alesis to computer), but you can just record with the GR-55 to the computer (usb connections)
I found that there can be 'feedback' to the recording, if the play volume on the computer is not muted (or turned down). You can hear the playing through the normal amplifier plugs ( the usb to computer is a secondary output)

Very nicely done and lovely melodic guitar work over the top.  Super nice!  Saved for later playback!

Pretty clean recording , nice job . ¿ Did you use the GR55  for the
synth bass ?  Cool groove .

I've got to get motivated and do something .

Thanks for sharing these two arrangements .

The backing track was all Casio wk3000 keyboard. I set the tempo to 100....the normal setting was around 160. That made the parts stand out better IMO. I am going to re-do the wav file to get a better track. I used a  C9/ F9/ Dm7/ G sus4 chord pattern, that made a nice bass pattern.

Another element in my recording was my new cabling. Got some nice 10' cables, to replace some old cheap ones I had been using. To me, they had a better tone...and pretty good price.
