I'm looking to add some more sound FX type samples to the GR-55 such as animal sounds, nature sounds etc..    Is there a way to put a sample onto the GR-55 and then create a patch with it?

Or if not, is the way to have the GR-55 interface with something to make this possible?

Or is this just wishful thinking? :)

The GR 55 can NOT load third party samples

The GR 55 can trigger its internal PCM sound samples form a finite library of 910 PCM wavelets

you can also do Guitar modeling but you cannot upload your own new samples and have a GR 55 play them (like a old sampler )

most people that are trying to accomplish that today are using IK multimedia SampleTank running on a Laptop

If you read the manual for the GR 55 you'll understand that GR-55 is also an the audio interface and can be used as a guitar to midi converter with midi over USB and a simple USB cable can be connected to trigger SampleTank

Cubase artist has a really easy to use drum machine called Groove agent that lets you trigger any sound file on your computer. You can assign them to the pads with one click super easy. Then control it with whatever Hardware control you want including a gr-55
electric: Epiphone Dot semihollow body, acoustic: mahogany jumbo, recording: Cubase Artist 11 or Tascam DP008
