GR-20 - Using Bass with Gk3b with Roland GR-20
« on: May 19, 2017, 08:42:47 AM »
The sound only appears from the middle of the bass to the Bridge. I already moved in the sensitivity I put in the maximum and nothing. Is there any Bass mode? I read and reread the manual and found nothing. For value help me! Grateful

You must update the GR-20 to latest firmware before it will work for Bass

there is a bass mode for the GR-20, I can't remember how it is done, but involves holding down a button on power-up one time only.
The current user manual should explain that, it is available for download from the Roland site.

Roland GR-20 Selecting Guitar or Bass Mode.
Article #1709745 Added on Mar 20, 2012 at 3:12 PM
If your GR-20 is updated to the latest version, it’s possible to use it with a bass guitar equipped with the Roland GK-3B Pickup. To obtain the best tracking results with this application, you must select “Bass mode” in the GR-20. Use the following steps to select Guitar or Bass mode:
Note: The Factory default for this mode in the GR-20 is set for guitar.

1. Power on while holding the SENS button.

2. Release SENS, and then turn the VALUE dial to select the desired setting; Choose “Gt” when using Guitar. Choose “Bg” when using bass guitar.

3. Press EXIT to save the new setting.

Tip: After choosing the correct mode, be sure to adjust the sensitivity for each string.
