Hey guys,
I'm a new owner of a GR-55+GK3 here and totally loving it, however I am having a hard time getting a nice mellow nylon acoustic guitar sound, all the patches and tweaking I've tried still produce a somewhat harsh amplified pickup nylon guitar sound, which to my ear is a bit harsh and metallic.

Coincidentally, I am able to MIDI the GR-55 up to my Yamaha MOX6 keyboard which has the most AMAZING acoustic guitar sounds, however the latency is quite unacceptable, especially when playing chords :(

Has anyone been able to get a patch on the GR-55 that actually sounds like an acoustic nylon string guitar?

Cheers,
Pete :)

Hi, welcome to forum,

I created NyRAC Nylon Real Acoustic Collection, with 20+ models for Boss GP-10, before I started to work in NyRAC, I was working on the same idea for GR-55  based on the same principle that NyRAC. But already I have available some in progress patchs for the next GR-55 NyRAC version.  Those are experimental in progress nylon patchs for GR-55 NyRAC.

Here a improvised fast GR-55 patch audio demo:

Thanks Elantric,

Found it. I'm new to the GR 55 (just have it for two days). How do i get the *.tsl file in the GR55 Since it is a format the GR doesn't recognise?

Many thanks in advance.

The GR-55 versions are now located here:

Sorry for the newbie question:
The file attachment discussed is a .TSL file.
The GR-55 Librarian only talks about reading .G5L files, and it doesn't open a .TSL.
Am I supposed to know how to convert the file?

Thanks

Autana was kind enough to post them in GR-55 format (see above post).

Otherwise (I think) the way to use the .tsl patches is to download the GP-10 editor and run it in "offline mode". This lets you open up the tsl patch and examine it so you can duplicate it on the GR-55.

Got it, thanks so much.  I kept thinking from the text that there was a direct link to the file on this thread,
but in fact you need to go to his original post for those.

Thanks again to all.

The GR-55 versions  that work with Gumtown's GR-55 Floorboard Editor (*.G5L format) are now located here:
