Boss Tone Studio when connected to Internet has a built in messaging system, and tonight it reported that an Updated GP-10 Owners Manual (released July,16,2014) is available

See attached

Upon review, its simply the existing GP-10 Owners Manual, GP-10 Parameter Guide, and GP-10 Sound List - but all merged into one 33 page PDF file.

If you want to obtain more incite and better explanations of how Roland gear works - review the OWNERS MANUALS for the earliest examples of current gear.

3. Install the BOSS Tone Studio application.
(which will also install the required  Adobe AIR Application Runtime environment resources for your OS)

application. If you need to download and install it, you can get it via the link

SY-300: BYPASS OSCILLATOR WITH AN EXTERNAL FOOTSWITCH
It's sometimes useful to be able to bypass one or more of the SY-300's three oscillators using a footswitch assignment, instead of having to perform multiple button presses in the middle of a performance. Recommended footswitches include the BOSS FS-6 or FS-7 models.

Here's how to do this:

1. Connect the A&B output jack of a an FS-6 or FS-7 to the EXP/CTL 4,5 jack on the
back of the SY-300, using a TRS to TRS 1/4" cable.

2. Press MENU.

3. Turn SELECT knob to select CTL/EXP.

4. Press SELECT knob.

5. Turn SELECT knob to select CTL 4.

6. Press SELECT twice.

7. Turn the second Parameter knob from the left to turn on the assignment.

8. Turn the third Parameter knob from the right to choose: MANUAL.

9. Turn SELECT knob to go to Page 2.

10. Confirm that TARGET CATEGRY is set to: OSC1 WAVE, if not turn the SELECT
knob until: OSC1 WAVE is selected.

11. Confirm that TARGET is set to: OSC OFF/ON, if not turn the SELECT
knob until: OSC1 OSC OFF/ON is selected.

12. Turn SELECT knob to go to Page 3.

13. Turn the first Parameter knob from the left to choose: MOMENT.

14. Repeat these steps for oscillators two and three if desired.
