In the pursuit of producing semi-looping, long sustain ambient style tones from the GR-55 alone, here are my tweaks of 3 S&H patches.
(I believe I got the original S&H patches from these boards, but now I can't find them so I can't credit the sources...if you posted the originals let me know!)
The Exp pedal in all is Assigned to vary the Momentary Max-Min range of PCM2 slot (#775 S&H Ramp) Filter Resonance values as well as the tone's
Octave shift which in combination with a plucked and held 5th or 6th string (triggering a tone from PCM1) can produce some rather eerie and surprising effects.
The one using Synth PolyKey #720 Uni-G in the PCM1 slot also uses the Exp pedal assigned to vary the tone Octave -3 to +3 for some really wild effects.
I've had some good use of these to produce a backdrop for an experimental improv group.
Have fun...
