Since 90% of Eband JS-10 , JS-8 features and all software are also employed with the MicroBR BR-80 - i will roll all three into  a new board name  here:

Elantric:

Thanks for the assistance.

Being that the JS-10 is the second generation, after the JS-8, I would have thought there would be more user chatter about these cool little amps.

BTW, what is the JS-20? Did I miss a product announcement?

Thanks,
JohnS

I'm posting this after talking to Boss.   I asked about where to post "feature requests" for JS-10 or the new possible upgrade, and they responded that they read forums.  They will not take feature requests directly.

The JS-10, is an awesome machine for playing live or practicing in coffee shops, as it functions as a monitor while allowing a performer to play to a background track.  I basically LIVE with mine.  I perform with it, practice with it (portable speakers!), have been recording all my Berklee online homework with it, and I woodshed with it.   I've even done a bit of Karaoke with one where the person singing just sings through the device to an MP3 while I continue playing guitar through it.   For teaching it's EXCELLENT as you can have the student jack into line 2 and they have effects and a tuner ready to go.

Boss... if you are reading this, these are things that would make the JS upgrade awesome:

1.  Slightly bigger and more powerful.   In coffee shops I'm always running at 95% of volume with the JS-10.
2.  2 foot switch inserts... one for the wah and one for the FS-6 footswitch.
3.  Allow the FS-6 footswitch to jump/play the next song in the list (those options are not in the controller preferences currently)
4.  Allow the new JS unit to interface with the Boss FC-300 foot controller.   I'd just set it up so the effects are stored in banks of 10 for accessibility.
5.  When using the software to administer the User list, the JS-10 doesn't pull down the song titles.  It also forgets the Key, Effect preset, and volume for each song when using the USB interface to a computer.
6.  When using the speed control and slowing mp3's down, smoothing the output audio a bit more would be excellent.
7.  Add WiFi so we can backup and add our files instantly.
8.  Make it more "cube like" so it packs for a gig easier.
9.  Use a standard PC power cord and put the power supply inside.   When gigging... wall warts are a pain in the neck.
10.  Add a looper.   I could see the FS-6 being used as a "record/stop" where it just records and immediately loops.   It wouldn't have to write to memory... just play from RAM.
11.  Instead of RCA jacks for output use 1/4" standard audio jacks.
12.  Have a monitor output... stereo if possible.
13.  Make sure all outputs can be on selectively.
14.  Remote control via Bluetooth on a phone would be great.
15.  Show the input/output levels on the screen real time so input and output levels can be set correctly.
16.  When doing a backup, backup EVERYTHING... not just the audio files.
17.  The ability to mix to MP3's together realtime, controlling the audio level for each file.   That would allow a guitar player to practice with a background track with vocals, then when going live remove the vocal file (let's face it, not all vocals are center channeled.   Some of us have studio grade backing tracks.)
18.  The ability to output audio from it via Bluetooth.

I hope this doesn't land on deaf ears.   The JS-10 is an unsung hero that I'm really surprised hasn't taken off.   It's a GREAT unit.
