Membership approaching 11,000!

Looks like we just might pass 11,000 members by Jan. 1 , 2014.
Hopefully by 2014 Winter NAMM (Jan 23-26, 2014)

Thanks to everyone who participates on the forum, and for those new members still too shy to post, there are no dumb questions.

I only say:  Thanks to everybody in this forum.

P.S. Post your patches. They don't have to be perfect.

Hey after the "purge" last year of dormant member accounts, I'm proud to announce we have recently restored our status of having over 11,000 members

Thank you all for participating and being part of this  7+ years old social community experiment of shared brain pool and knowledge base for High Tech Guitarists around the globe!

To Elantric  and all the other admins (and of course all the great members), This is awesome news and you guys deserve a big round of applause for keeping this going.

I figure between "the regulars" we all own every major guitar modeling or guitar synthesis system in existence.  Think about that!  If I can't answer a question for you, there's a good chance another of us can!

Any thoughts as to how the GP-10 may have influenced the number in recent months?  I'd be curious at how successful it has been (or will be).

The potential positive side of devices such as the less expensive GR-55 and GP-10 - an increasing user base!

Correct - for any forum its just a matter of fact that only .01% actually post and engage in discussions, while 99% prefer to lurk

Compare what our forum looked like in 2008 when we only supported the VG-99 and had under 500 members  vs today

Luckily we are a popular site and the Web Archive has stored most of our past as a time machine

I like that time machine. I was there and it is still great to be around...

Is there any way someone could set up an onsite show of hands of who would buy a VG99 successor . I would think with a group this big and a good chunk of us that would buy it that Roland would have a little more incentive to do it.

Understand its a revolving door - and not all registered members here are still participating  / nor actively interested in the GK 13pin world of DSP Guitar Modeling.
