We have confirmed that Boss Tone Studio for  GT-1 load, saves, imports only  GT-1 patches.

its possible Gumtown might update third party Boss GT Floorboard to be GT1 compatible, and allow easier migration of GT-100 patches into GT-1 - but thats not possible right now

There is overlap of GT-1 FX with GT-100 FX  - and we recommend the manual "Patch Clone method described here:
https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=4087.0

But these FX are exclusive to GT-1
A-DIST:
This effect uses MDP (Multi-Dimensional Processing) technology to provide ideal distortion in all pitch ranges of the guitar, from low to high.

OVERTONE:
This effect uses MDP (Multi-Dimensional Processing) technology to add new harmonics to the sound, producing resonance and richness that was not present in the original sound.

I received a reply from Roland Products about the compatibility in patches between the GT-1 and GT-100/GT-001.

"Due to differences in the Preset structure between the two products, their Presets are not compatible. The GT-1 will have most of the internal features of the GT-100/GT-001, with the exception of a few functions:

-No Dual-Path Amp configurations
-23 FX programs, instead os 33 on the GT-100/001
-27 AMP model, instead of 28 on the GT-100/001
22 OD/DS , instead of Models 23 on the GT-100/001
1 DELAY Model, instead of 10 on the GT-100/001"

LOL
OD on GT-1 = custom is missing
AMP on GT-1 = custom is missing
GT-1 has 7 Delays not one

I'm working on it!

Generally it is like GP-10 but with more FX. MDP effects would be great additon for GP.
For what is the same it sound the same. Nice small form factor and battery powered. It will replace ME-25 in Boss portofolio as I know.
