iOS 9: Keep off the Grass!
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2015 AT 11:17AM BY TIM WEBB
It's that time of the year again when Apple releases a new iOS, I warn people not to update production devices they rely on, and everyone ignores me or brands me a heretic. Last year's changes to IAA, and subsequently Audiobus, created a lot of unforeseen woes. To this day there are still many people plugging away on iOS 7 because they just don't want to deal with it. iOS 9 promises a lot of interesting new features though, including Split Screen multitasking, so the temptation to upgrade this time will be quite high!

Just Say No!
Let's get the warning out of the way. If you rely on your iOS devices for your music production you should not be updating willy-nilly. There has never been an OS update on any platform that didn't ruin someone's day. This is true across all platforms, I'm not just shitting on Apple here. I skipped Windows 8 entirely and will probably hold off on Windows 10 for at least 6-9 months so they have time to iron out the kinks. If you rely on a computing device: Do not frivolously update it.

Meth: Not Even Once
One of the most compelling iOS 9 features for musicians is the promise of split-screening two different apps side-by-side. Unfortunately you won't be doing any of that unless you are on an iPad Air 2 or an iPad Mini 4.

There is also "Slide Over" multitasking which is a smaller split screen providing some functions from apps specifically tailored to work with it. The Slide Over functionality is limited to iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini 3, and iPad Mini 4.

So unless you're running on the bleeding edge hardware, or have apps updated to support Slide Over, you won't see any major benefit to updating today.

Crack is Whack
And it may take a while for you to see apps updated for iOS 9. As with every iOS update the reviewers at iTunes Connect are swamped, slowing down the approval process. Further gumming up the works this year, Apple didn't allow developers to submit apps built on the latest iOS 9 SDK until the 12th of this month. Developers have had less than a week to gain approval before iOS 9's release today!

Korg is among those developers affected, and has issued a statement warning of crashes on iOS 9 for Gadget, Module, and iM1.

Mary Jane Ruins The Brain
Audiobus' iOS 9 update is also awaiting approval from Apple. I spoke with developer Sebastian Dittmann and he assures me that although there may be some quirks, iOS 9 should not be fatal.

There will be some new nuisances, but these are a "feature" of iOS 9 and not Audiobus bugs. In response to abusive apps launching other apps without permission, Apple has had to implement a new system requiring user's consent. Launching other apps is a big part of what makes Audiobus' workflow so great, so Apple's new pop-up will become quickly tiresome.

This pop-up will occur once per-app to each app connection. For instance:

"Do you want to open Nave from Audiobus?"
You'll recall that a function of Audiobus's app launching is that after the app succesfully launches it takes you back to Audiobus... so you'll get a new pop-up:

"Do you want to open Audiobus from Nave?"
Perhaps you're playing around in Nave and decide you need more reverb:

"Do you want to open AUFX: Space from Audiobus?"
And then of course...

"Do you want to open Audiobus from AUFX: Space?"
I want to stress that the pop-up will only occur once per each app connection. Launching a previously approved app from a previously approved app launcher will not cause the pop-up. This still seems like it will be quite annoying.

Above the Influence
Over the last month I've been getting reports from readers that they are unable to play videos and click on some links here on the site. After a lot of research I concluded that this only happens on iOS 7, irregardless of the browser used. Unfortunately I haven't been able to figure out what is causing it. I hadn't made any changes to the site code when the problems were reported. Even if I totally remove all of my custom code the site is still wonky as **** on iOS 7. I have always gone out of my way to make sure the site runs smooth on mobile, but I just can't figure out what's happening on iOS 7. I sincerely hope that iOS 9 will be a solid OS we can all update to without losing too many legacy apps.

Onsong iOS 9 Status

iOS 9 is Coming Tomorrow. Be Prepared!

Apple is set to launch iOS 9 tomorrow and we at OnSong want to make sure you are prepared.  It can be unsettling to wonder "should I upgrade or not?"  To help reduce that anxiety, we want to let you know our plan and offer a few tips when considering an iOS upgrade.
If It Ain't Broke... Throughout this past year we've worked to update OnSong to workaround iOS 8 issues as Apple has released new versions. Please be aware that operating system upgrades can cause issues in the many apps you use.  Confirm that all of your critical apps are working as expected before making the leap.

Be prepared.  While you should never experience data loss when upgrading iOS or OnSong, there is always the potential for an unexpected problem.  We recommend that you always keep a backup of your OnSong Library and iOS device before you upgrade.

Allow plenty of time.  Never install an iOS upgrade or OnSong update prior to a show. Give yourself plenty of time to use the software and learn about new or changed features. OnSong provides full release notes and documentation to get up to speed.  This also gives us plenty of time to answer your questions or help to get you up and running. Be sure to disable automatic updates so you have control when updates get installed.

Be patient.  OnSong 1.999 will launch later in September after iOS 9 is released.
This is intended to address any last minute problems that might appear in the final version.

iOS9 arrives – stick or twist for iOS musicians ?
September 17, 2015 by John 1 Comment
iOS9 logoAs I'm sure every iOS musician is aware, iOS9 was released yesterday and is available to download for any of the iOS hardware that will support then new version. For general use – whether that's on your iPhone or iPad – there is little reason not to update as iOS9 has some cool new features. However, if you are using your iOS hardware for more than a bit of web browsing, email and media consumption – and perhaps running some rather more specialised apps as a consequence – a more cautious approach is always going to be sensible when Apple rolls our a new iOS version.
Those working with iOS music apps most definitely fall into the 'please be patient' category and, if you have been a fully paid up member of the iOS music making community for at least 12 months, then you will have lived through the rather bumpy road that was the update from iOS7 to iOS8. Caution is most certainly called for....
Of course, in running the Music App Blog, it would be remiss (and somewhat cowardly) of me not to take a punt on your behalf so, at 7.00pm local time yesterday evening, I hit the 'update' button and started the install of iOS9 onto my iPad Air 1. Given that there was probably millions of iOS users doing exactly the same thing at exactly the same time, the update progressed quite happily and, without too much fuss, my iPad did its thing and eventually popped up refreshed with iOS9 installed. And, as far as I've been able to tell so far, all my existing apps survived intact (although I've not tested the functionality of all of them yet by any stretch). Equally, the new version of the OS didn't seem to chew up anything very much in terms of extra storage space....

Update flurry

As I've mentioned over the last few days, there have already been a whole, bunch of popular iOS music apps that have been updated to offer iOS9 compatibility. These apps should, therefore, work as standalone apps under iOS9. Indeed, many iOS music apps that have not yet been specifically updated for the new iOS may well work quite happily when used in a standalone context.
However, one notable exception is Audiobus and, while the update is already in Apple's approval queue, at the time of writing, it has not yet appeared on the App Store. If Audiobus forms a key part of your iOS music making workflow, then the advice from the Audiobus team themselves is to hang on until that update arrives before considering moving from iOS8 to iOS9.
Testing, testing....

Of course, those that have taken the plunge for whatever reason have only had a few hours so far to explore what might – and what might not – be working. My own testing will have been far from exhaustive and I have not pushed any individual app to its limits under iOS9 to try and force a few things to fall over....   but I have launched a good number of my more regular 'go to' apps to see just what the lay of the land is under iOS9.
So what's the experience been like so far? As I've commented many times before, for my own iOS music making workflow, Cubasis sits at the heart of what I do (there are other excellent options but, as a Cubase user on the desktop, Cubasis is a no-brained choice for my own needs). Having run a few existing Cubasis projects under iOS9, I'm happy to say that things seem to be working pretty smoothly – no obvious glitches or unpredictable CPU spikes – Cubasis just seems to be working as under iOS8.
The other very encouraging element of this experience was that apps run as IAA plugins also seemed to be worked well. Again, I have not yet been able to test every IAA app that I have installed but processor apps such as BIAS FX, Mobile POD, Auto-Tune Mobile, VocaLive, AUFX:Dub, Korvpressor and Stereo Designer (for example) all loaded quite happily as insert or send effects via IAA within Cubasis.

I had no problems with Cubasis under iOS9 and was able to load both sound source and effects apps via IAA without any real issues.
I also had a pretty smooth ride with the IAA instrument apps I tried at sound sources for Cubasis audio tracks. Patterning, iM1, Module, Oscilab, Cakewalk Z3TA+, djay2, Egoist and a few others all loaded and, all be it with some brief testing, seemed to be functioning as expected. Hopefully, my positive experience here is one shared by others but, if so, it does suggest that iOS9 hasn't done much (if any) damage to the IAA functionality and that would be very welcome.
Working with a range of apps in standalone mode also seemed to be a pretty positive experience... In addition to the app mentioned above, Elastic Drums, Gadget (yay!), Diode-108, SessionBand Drums, Sector (also yay!), Launchpad, LoopTree, Thor, Alchemy, Animoog, Tera Synth, iProphet, DrumPerfect, etc. etc....  all seemed to work well and, while I'm sure the developers of all these apps may well be along with 'iOS9 compatibility' updates if they have not already, overall I was impressed with how much just worked and how few apps didn't (for example, I had issues with Gumdrops and Arctic ProSynth but neither of these has yet received an update for iOS9).
On the 'bus?

As mentioned above, the Audiobus team have an Audiobus update in the Apple pipeline and are advising those who depend upon Audiobus for their music making to hang on until that update appears before they also move from iOS8 to iOS9.
Having run the current version of Audiobus – v.2.1.17 – and tried a number of my usual iOS music apps in an Audiobus session or two, I think I'd only confirm that advice. At present, the workflow is simply too clunky – and apps simply lose their connectivity to Audiobus too regularly – for any serious work to get done. Hopefully, that update will arrive sooner rather than latter and we can then re-assess the merits of upgrading from iOS8.4 to iOS9.

As we have been warned by the Audiobus team, if you depend upon Audiobus for your iOS music workflow, you need to wait for the upcoming update to the app before considering the move from iOS8 to iOS9.
Or just stick?

Of course, even when Audiobus does get the required tweaks, there will not be any compulsion to move up from iOS8 if you are happy enough and getting music made. There are some immediate benefits of iOS9 – the new split screen mode, for example, if you have newer Apple hardware that will support it – but, for music makers, I suspect the real pros and cons of iOS9 might not fully materialise until we discover just what the promised new Audio Units (AU) functionality within the OS might deliver.
Like IAA, that is new technology that iOS developers are going to have to get their heads around and, while it might have some similarities to AU under OSX, you can also bet that there will be enough differences to keep developers on their toes...  and many iOS music app developers will not have worked on AU products under OSX anyway.
So far so good?

So, just about 18 hours in and, Audiobus aside (OK, that's a pretty big aside but also, hopefully, one that is going to begin to resolve itself shortly), and I'm pretty happy with just how smoothly the whole iOS9 experience has gone so far. No, I've not been through my entire app collection and, aside for one rather intensive Cubasis project running lots of IAA apps, I've not pushed things too hard either. But, by the same token, not much has fallen over yet....
A cautious thumbs up then for iOS9 and, while I'm still keeping my fingers crossed, if my own initial experience is anything to go by, then maybe (perhaps... possibly...!) the transition from iOS8 to iOS9 for iOS musicians might be somewhat less traumatic than the equivalent shift from iOS7 to iOS8. Fingers crossed and hold your breath (there are bound to be a few bumps in the road) but, so far, so good....

Audio production on iOS 9 is vastly improved as apps get full audio plug-in support

Audio production on iOS 9 is vastly improved as apps get full audio plug-in support

Apple has long used Audio Units as a standard for audio plug-ins in Mac OS X for applications like its own Logic Pro and GarageBand. It's now bringing full support for Audio Units to iOS devices and allowing developers to easily port their audio plug-ins from OS X with very minor code changes using a new Audio Unit version 3 API.

That means that apps like Garageband and other audio editors on iOS can now allow users to simply select third-party audio plug-ins from an in-app menu, as pictured below. Developers will be able to sell Audio Units as apps on the App Store, and Apple's own plug-ins— the effects and virtual instruments you find in Logic and GarageBand— will be accessible to all free of charge.

IOS-9-Audio-Units-02
Apple's demo app showing a host app tap into audio plug-ins in iOS 9
Before full Audio Unit support on iOS, musicians had to use hacked together solutions, such as Apple's inter-app audio feature or third-party apps, to jump between apps and apply things such as effects from one app to audio in GarageBand or another audio editor. The previous workarounds were extremely limited and clunky from a user's perspective, and that's why Apple is introducing a full-fledged audio plug-in experience. There are also a ton of Audio Units on Mac that haven't ported versions of their plug-ins to iOS, since many plug-ins, like audio effects, don't provide a full experience as a standalone app. Version 3 of Audio Units will make porting extremely easy for developers and likely encourage many popular plug-ins from Mac to come to iOS.

Apple will support the new Audio Unit feature in its own GarageBand on iOS, and you can expect to see other DAWs and audio editing apps implementing it for iOS 9 as well. Here's a look at the experience on an iPad with GarageBand:

The source code for Audio Units on Mac will be identical for iOS and developers will only be required to optimize their plug-in for touch controls. Developers will be packaging the plug-ins using Audio Unit version 3 as extensions, and will be able to sell them on both the App Store and Mac App Store.

http://www.cnbc.com/2015/09/18/apple-customers-report-devices-crashing-on-ios-9-update.html

A significant number of Apple customers are reporting their mobile devices have crashed after attempting to upload the new iOS 9 operating system, the latest in a line of launch glitches for the tech giant.

Twitter and other social media were awash with disgruntled customers reporting two distinct faults, with one appearing to be linked specifically to older models of Apple iPhones and iPads.
"It is beyond inconvenient to not be able to use your phone for a day," said student Pip Cordi as staff in the Apple store in central Sydney looked at her phone on Friday. "I have a lot of apps that I use for school—things like language apps and dictionaries and that's all really important for my studies."

Another iPhone user, Zorry Coates, said she had spent three hours in the Apple store and had been left with the option of either returning her phone to factory settings—losing any non-backed-up data—or waiting until Apple technicians announced an update.

"They said they were aware of the problem and their engineers were working on it 24/7, but they couldn't tell me when—or how—I would get a solution," Zorry said.

"I'm very annoyed because it's wasted half my day. They pride themselves on being a company that's flawless."
Apple's headquarters in San Francisco did not respond to a request for comment late Thursday. An Apple spokesman in Sydney said the company had no comment.

Attendees take photographs of the Apple Inc. iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus smartphones after a product announcement in San Francisco, Sept. 9, 2015.
Apple iOS9 launch broadly fails: Report
Despite any troubles, significant numbers of iOS users had upgraded; more than 16 percent, according to Mixpanel, a San Francisco, California-based analytics company, as of 4 p.m. PDT (2300 GMT) Thursday.
Error message

Charlie Brown, a technology expert at Sydney-based Cybershack, said any number of dissatisfied customers was significant in the social media era, particularly following the troubled rollout of iOS 8. Apple released several further updates to iOS8, but some of the bugs were never fully fixed.
"The risk to Apple in terms of having dissatisfied customers is that as their customer base grows, so will the number of those dissatisfied customers," said Brown.
One group of users reported that iOS 9 upgrade would fail after several minutes, requiring them to start the process over. Many posted screen shots of the error message they received: "Software Update Failed."
That problem was likely caused by servers that were overloaded when too many people tried to download the upgrade simultaneously, tech analysts said.

"It's like the Black Friday thing," said Bob O'Donnell of Technalysis Research, referring to the major U.S. shopping sale day after Thanksgiving. "Some websites get creamed on the traffic on Black Friday."

IOS 9 remains buggy( I do not recommend it

http://www.techtimes.com/articles/90394/20151003/ios-9-problems-iphone-and-ipad-users-complain-of-sound-issues-with-games-apps-and-notifications.htm

Quote"After updating to iOS9, I had sound issues (pops, cracks, robotic type sound) in Bias FX... until I turned off stereo mode. Then it was fine. I turned stereo mode back on, and the sound screwed up again. My setup is an iPad Air 2, with a Focusrite iTrack Dock," writes a user on a thread. "At any rate, Apple got some 'splaining to do! Upgrade is suppose to increase performance, yet screws people's apps up."

"I am having trouble on all the Positive Grid apps (actually all my Guitar amp sims) on iOS 9. I get consistent Popping noises from Bias FX, Bias, and JamUP Pro. Also with ToneStack, AmpKIt and Amp One," another user also reported in the thread.

Meanwhile, a particular application which has been reported to lose its voice after the update is the Lumosity, a brain-training app. The developer admitted that it is aware of the problem, noting the issue is at Apple's end.

Additionally, a small percentage of iDevice users complained that their notification sound is not working.

Some of the suggested fixes to resolve this problem include muting notifications and restarting, hard-resetting the device, resetting Network Settings, and disabling and re-enabling Bluetooth.

Earlier this month, we reported on a security flaw on iOS 9.0.1 that lets attackers access the contact, photos and messages of a user with no PIN. The hack is performed through the help of Siri.

Despite the problems users encountered on iOS 9, we mentioned in the same report that almost one out of five iPhone users have installed the OS in less than 48 hours after it was launched, according to the mobile analytics firm Mixpanel.

Just a warning that IOS 9 "breaks" the QuiccoSound mi.1  Connect application, and makes it impossible to use  QuiccoSound mi.1  on anything other that Apple Garageband

I'm still using IOS 8.4.5 and that is working well for me

iOS 9.1 has no improvement on the audio issues - Bias FX has pops and cracks with nothing else running (27th Oct)

ios 9.2 came out recently, did anyone notice any improvements in Bias or Jamup? are the crackle and pops still there? thank you

I have an iPad2 that I have kept on IOS 7.1.2 and it works just fine.

I purposely maxed out the storage on this device so there would not be enough space left for an unwanted IOS 9.x download / update.

Well the other day, a message popped up that it wanted to DELETE Sampletank to make room for IOS 9.x.   ???

Ios 7 is so much better than anything that comes after. You cannot run Bias FX on ios7 though...

I have had the same thing with Garageband. After clearing out a lot of mp3's all is well again. What also takes up a lot of space is the update for ios 9.2. The only way I kmow you can clear it, is by installing it. But that is something you shouldn't do.

http://www.iconnectivity.com/blog/os-x-el-capitanios-9-update

iConnectivity has been aware of and working on resolution of an audio clocking issue found in the latest OS releases OS X El Capitan and iOS9. The issue is when the iConnectivity device is set as the audio clock master and the sample rate is 44.1 kHz or 88.2 kHz, noticeable audible clicks and pops can be heard about every second in outgoing audio from your computing device.

This is a critical issue for iConnectivity and we have spent a lot of time and effort to find and resolve it. What has been discovered is that in these specific situations, the operating system is not keeping up with the samples required by the audio clock master. The graph below shows over the course of time how the OS audio samples continually fall behind the iConnectivity device-provided samples over time.

As audio is very sensitive to lost data and we can only buffer so much time lag; eventually our resynchronization of the timing results in a gap of audio data - generating the audible clock or pop. This is not a result of the firmware in iConnectivity devices nor the device drivers. It is a mismatch in timing and sampling in the core of the operating system, which results in noncompliance with the published developer's standards.

We have been working closely with other parties to get the issue identified and resolved. Most recently, we have been assured that the problem is fixed, and are hopeful to see in next beta releases of the operating systems.

We appreciate your patience. In meantime we recommend making your Mac OS X El Capitan or iOS9 device the audio clock master, which can be done through our iConfig application. If you need to have two computing devices working together, both of course cannot be the audio clock master, so in this case we recommend using 48 kHz or 96 kHz sample rates.

We will be sure to let all our customers know as soon as a fix has been released through the operating system.

Just received an Iphone 6s plus 2 days ago and, and obviously it came with the dreaded IOS 9.1 installed.
in the other side the Iphone 6s carries one of the new and powerful A9 Apple processors and I hope to notice a big performance improvement over my ipad air 1.
I use a Sonic Port interface.
Tried to play with jamup pro and mobile Pod and it played beautifully, at lowest latency without any crackles and pops.
Tried to play with midiguitar and some synth and the results have been mixed. Most of the time sounded and responds very well but had some occasional clicks, but sometimes I have lots of clicks and pops and do not really know the reason it appeared to be a random effect. I used all the time airplane mode. at times it seemed dependent on which application started first...
Not tried with other synths, have nanostudio which has good synths but I have not gotten it to work.
Not sure if it will be a good idea to update to 9.2, if anyone knows I will be very interested to know.
Also would like to use an IOS cpu monitor in order to meassure the amount of CPU eats the different synths so i can know what I should use, because I have been searching and have not found much information on this aspect. I think Animoog is one of the most cpu hungry around, at least on my ipad air 1 I cant play it via midiguitar with mobile pod or jamup pro without a fest of crackelure.

Elantric

I know we talk about how good Jam Origin MIDi Guitar 2 has become,

http://www.jamorigin.com/products/midi-guitar/

but realize this praise is for the desktop version

the IOS version remains higher latency and not as fast.

Well after some tests I think I can contribute a bit to this topic.
Has said I have Iphone 6s plus with ios 9.1 and a Sonic Port (no audiobus); airplane mode and do not disturb active.
Im playing simultaneously animoog + midiguitar 2 (latency low 6ms)  + mobile POD (latency 4 ms) without any click or pop, full polyphony. So I dont know if ios 9 is compromised but with this setup it works very well. Maybe is that Iphone has enough power.
BUT, there is some strange behaviour, in order to get those results I need to launch in this order: 1º the synth; 2º midi guitar, 3º the amp sim. If I launch in other order or dont close all the apps before to try another synth I get a lot of clicks and cracks.
Tried also with my Ipad Air 1 and if I use this sequence of apps all is also good, so same behaviour.
The problem is that this Sonic Port uses a proprietary connector and I cant use a multi usb adapter to use my softstep 2 or others devices to send additional midi messages.
Hope this can help.

Well the new version IOS is around the corner, but I think this actual IOS version 2 is not equivalent to the desktop version 1, I fell it more responsive and fast.

Bias FX on iOS 9.2 still has clicks and pops when running on low latency setting - with that off there is much less of an issue (on iPad air2 the latency is not noticeable anyway)

Is the issue with Apple to fix in the OS or has this change that has been made now forcing the software developers to change their programs?  .... Is anyone actually fixing this?

jassy

Are you trying in airplane mode and without apps running in the background?

Headless68

yes - only app running with airplane mode on is exactly the same, this is 100% to do with ios 9'x'  my old ipad gen3 was totally clean on audio with Bias FX at 8'x' and the ipad air2 has probably double the processing power.

The thing is I don't know if I'm waiting on Positive Grid to release an update that makes their software work with iOS 9'X' or if I'm waiting for Apple to bring out an update which fixes this in the OS ?

Headless68

Done a bit more playing -
Actually the only app I'm having issue with is Bias FX
The following all work without any clicks or pops at ios 9.2.1 .....
Midi Guitar 2
Jamup Pro
Sunrizer
Sampletank
iM1
Z3TA+
Xenon CrystalSynthXT
Kaossilator
Garageband
Flux FX

Many here work with IOS Music apps, and I have been comparing the performance of

2013 iPad AIR

vs

2015 iPad AIR 2

When using the 2015 iPad AIR 2 with IOS 9.2 and running latest versions of Positive Grid's  BIAS, BIAS FX, or Yonac Tonestack and  Fender Fishman Tripleplay Strat's built in 24 bit Audio USB interface + Apple lightning to USB Camera Adapter - I can run with a 128 buffer, and "ultra low latency, Stereo Mode, and have no problems  - no pops.

If I remove the Fender Fishman Tripleplay Strat's built in 24 bit Audio USB interface, and instead use the IK Multimedia iRig PRO DUO   I can run with a 128 buffer, and "ultra low latency, Stereo Mode, and have no problems  - no pops.

Also my 2012 iPad AIR IOS 8.4.2   I can run with a 128 buffer, and "ultra low latency, Stereo Mode, and have no problems  - no pops.

But forget about 2012 iPad AIR on IOS 9 ( or newer)  - I must run with audio with buffer set to "256" , anything smaller I get pops and crackles.

Conclusion: (no surprise) Use the latest Apple IOS hardware for best results

Headless68

I'm using a new (as of this week) Ipad Air 2 128gb -
basically your mobile rig cloned with the  itrack dock + KMI softstep2
really happy with it all - apart from this Bias FX little glitch

Using IPad Air 2 32gig I can run Blueboard/ Jamup Pro and Onsong at the same time with no glitches whatsoever. I realize that is much less than most of you do on your IOS devices. Even my C List Ipad 3rd generation will do this. All devices and apps updated to latest after I could not get Apple to leave me alone about IOS9 etc...going to do some low pressure gigging with this rig.IPAD/ IRIG/ Blueboard/ guitar and powered speaker( or not).

Not good news....
installed update for BIAS FX - rebooted ipad - only app running - pops and cracks same as before in low latency mode, except now I have a CPU meter which reads 54% when this is happening :-(
