Try eBay; every once in a while a good deal comes along.  I picked up a Gibson LP version for my R9 for $220 delivered to my door.  IMHO nothing beats this approach for typical alternate tunings.

I beta tested for Tronical

When i wanted another set - i found a deal on a new Gibson with Min-eTune ( Identical Tronical Tune Tuners ) on sale at Amazon which makes the whole package very affordable.

As to the tuner for almost a hundred bucks off. Hell of a deal. Good excuse to build a guitar.
Got a Trem King and an extra GK-3 that are in need of a home.
