A company called Manda Audio has allowed their formerly commercial drum plugin, MT Power Drum Kit 2, to be downloaded for free. It's available in VST and AU 32 and 64 bit formats for both Mac and Windows. You can use the beats and loops within the plugin to create the parts you want then drag and drop it into your digital audio workstation. It's a nice sounding kit and the good thing is if you have other drum plugins you prefer you can use the configuration files on the website to use the parts you created with them. It's explained in the video.

Here's the main download page: http://www.powerdrumkit.com/download.htm

Configuration files for other drum plugins are at the bottom of this page: http://www.powerdrumkit.com/video.htm

Now here's the only minor annoyance, you do have to activate the plugin. When you open up your DAW and run the plugin you'll see a window with a number, go to this link: http://www.powerdrumkit.com/activation-simpel/activate76187.php  Enter the number and press the button. You'll then get a code that you can copy and paste into the second window. That's all there is to it. This plugin is very easy to work with and I'm considering using it for some recordings.

:) You're welcome Ian. You've probably already seen this but there's a configuration file for Addictive Drums available to download at the bottom of this page: http://www.powerdrumkit.com/video.htm  Have fun with it.

Thank you, this is a great find. It may be like using EZdrummer and I am one step closer to having a almost free studio without pirating software. Software piracy is wrong and there are tons of free stuff out there. I have paid for all my stuff and use many free plugins. Some of the free stuff are gems and I prefer them to the high end expensive software.

You're welcome Jim. If you don't have it already there's a configuration file for EZDrummer at the bottom of this page: http://www.powerdrumkit.com/video.htm so you can use the patterns of this plugin with EZDrummer if you like. BTW I agree with you on the piracy issue and the free plugins 100%.

Thanks for this. I tried to install into Reaper but rather confused about how to access it?

Right click on the far left side and you should get an option to create a new track then you click on the "FX" button and a window will open up to show you where your plugins are. If you already knew this, my apologies.
