Looks like a compelling device, compared to the Apogee JAM (headphone jack, 1/8" stereo line in, etc.).

Hopefully the latency is good; IIRC the MobileIn wasn't very good.

I played with a prototype 6 months ago. - I'll await reports from other users of the production version before drawing any conclusions.

Agreed! After the disaster of the Line-6 Mobil In

-  I doubt I'll jump on another Line6 interface until others can report a review first.

I don't understand L6's go to market strategy for mobile devices.  The Mobile POD app looks kind of enticing but it requires their hardware to unlock.  But then even if I were to buy one of their hardware adapters just for that, the Mobile POD app isn't coming to the table with features that are pretty critical in the current world of iOS music making (audiobus being at the top of that list). So to me you'd be way better off with an Apogee Jam and a copy of JamUp (or AmpKit, or fill in the blank other guitar amp/fx sim).

The SonicPort does have more I/O than the Jam.  I have not tested it personally, but I doubt it could rival Apogee's A/D converters.

Having said all that, I am actually a fan of L6 and have a fair amount of their gear.  Seems to me they're missing the boat with mobile though, as if they're not paying attention to the trends in this space.
