One thing that could have been done fairly easy i would think would be to Hold down Crtl-1, or Enter, (or another button) and Press a stomp box/EFX on off button button to implement favorite presets switching rather then the sequential way we do it now.

On the GT-001 the 4 buttons allowed you select favorite presets but do nothing else which is the opposite of the GT1, I always felt this could have also been used to turn on/off Effects. This always bothered me. I would like the opposite of this on the GT1.

Anyone have a direct line to boss to suggest such a thing?

Thanks to my enthusiasm for Katana, Im meeting with head of Roland /Boss guitar products  Yoshiro Ikegami and Jeff Slingluff (Roland/Boss US ) at 2017 Winter NAMM (6 weeks away)

So let's get our wish lists prepared

While i am at it add a Noise Gate FX option in addition to the already included Noise Supressor.

To my opinion, the patch selection should be changed to avoid each intermediate one to be activated during a new selection.

For the moment, if one wants to go from patch A to patch Z, the system will launch each patch in between (B,C,D,...).

One could I think easily program something like:

   - Select the new patch with the up or down
   - until you reach the target patch
   - then, when done (or when required), either
           * push the CTRL1 short to activate the new selection.
           * push the CTRL1 long to cancel

Just an idea to avoid strange noises when one has to skip 10 patches between actual and final...   :)

Something like a special menu selectable patch change mode, where the patch up/down will select the next patch, but only change to that patch when you tap the CTL pedal. (patch change wait).
Free "GR-55 FloorBoard" editor software from https://sourceforge.net/projects/grfloorboard/

Assign a specific patch to each of the free pedals on GT-1 (Up-Down-CTRL1)
That will be great for 'lean' setups where you need the same 3  patches in the gig with the addition of two modifiers (CTRL2-3) per patch.
Alternatively, let Up/Down be assigned to Assign controls (today they only switch on off blocks or add level volume or solo)

;D

Hmmm there is a set for the GP-10, it should not be in this one which is definitely GT-1... If we start mixing different devices, it will rapidly become useless... Just my option.

#9
-square or pulse wave shape for wavepedal and modulation effects
-smooth delay time changes: currently can click when changing tap tempo or delay division
-assignable parameters for exp switch same as ctrl 1, 2, 3 using assigns. eg: turn on wah AND comp or OD at same press.
-stereo looper
-more chorus models
-regular reverse delay that plays the whole delay time backwards without chopping
-much better pitch shifting
-dim mode for LED's
