So many routing options!

Here's my current thought:

Guitar --> SY-300 Input;
                SY-300 thru ---> GT-1 input;
                SY-300 headphone out --> GT-1 Aux Input;
                GT-1 out to PA in stereo or mono

This way I should be able to add/remove SY-300 effects/synths into my main GT-1 guitar sounds, and using the GT-1 expression as volume pedal, turn it down / mix the levels...

Thoughts on the above and other routing options to consider?

Using your setup, this works great for me. I also have a Digitech Trio + I use for practicing and run its mixer out into the SY 300 Return to play along with.

Edit: Scratch the following i had originally typed, I had the phones out line plugged into the mono line by mistake: "Only downside is the Mixer out from the Trio and the Return on the SY are both mono so without adding a small mixer I'm stuck with the drums and bass track on one side only." Using the correct phones jack it plays in stereo as it should so I'm happy again.
