I'm all good, live in the northern end of NZ,
totally oblivious of any event until the phone rang early in the morning with concerned U.S. relatives.

Good to know you're safe Gumtown! Hope's the same for all other NZ members!
It's terrible when it hits. In Central Italy we're still in the middle of tremors after the big one who destroyed Amatrice.
Hope nobody is harmed or injured. In Italy we say 'Good Luck'

2km from the beach in Christchurch so a disrupted night for us as we headed to friends couches further inland. Pleased to say it was an orderly evacuation.

After putting up with so many short sharp shocks since 2010 it was unusual to feel the house undulating and wobbling for so long, bit like a boat at a jetty. Obviously not so gentle closer to the epicenter.

Your kind words are always appreciated and have meant a lot to us in Christchurch  over the past 6 years.

Thanks Chris
