For anyone who has the GT-1, what are your thoughts on sound quality, compared to prior Roland/Boss modelers/multi-effects or I suppose other brands too?

I wonder because the GP-10 has a noticeable 'refinement' in audio quality over the VG-99. (Although the VG-99 can certainly be better for some situations than the GP-10, no doubt.) It's definitely a positive factor when choosing what modeler is the best for your situation.

So, does the GT-1 offer a similar 'refinement' over, say, the existing GT-001/100? ME-80? Or other brand's recent offerings you've used? If so that would be a positive for the  GT-1 to possibly weigh against potentially fewer effects or a lack of parallel signal paths.

Boss GT-1 has same level COSM processing as GP-10, GT-001 and Rev 2 GT-100

ME-80 cant be compared because the ME-80 has only one Speaker CAB model (enabled when connecting  Headphones)

QuoteGenerally (Boss GT-10) is like GP-10 but with more FX. (GT-1's new MDP effects would be great addition for GP-10.
For what is the same it sound the same. Nice small form factor and battery powered. It will replace ME-25 in Boss portofolio as I know.

If quality it's up to GT-001 wouldn't be better to get GT-001 (now at same price as GT-1) to have more FX and dual channel?
Although not a floor unit it can be controlled (up down patch) via FS6 pedal (ok you loose the Volume pedal that way).
So it's a trade off between control out of box (up/down, Exp. Pedal and CTRL1 for GT-1) against more FX and less control on GT-001..I'm confused, being a patch changer anyway.

It's all about control

The GT-001 only has one external CTRL Jack , and typically that will get used for patch up / down

The GT-1 has onboard patch up/  down foot switches and a built in CTRL Foot switch and Expression pedal. Remember most Roland /Boss MFX have multiple Assignments and the GT-1 Expression pedal can be setup to morph between 2,3,4 different sounds for various zones of the pedal sweep range.

And there's a rear jack for an external CTRL 2/ CTRL 3 /expression pedal

It's worth mentioning to go to this thread and download all PDF docs

First store in California I've  seen that actually stocks GP-10, SY-300 too.

Hi ... I have the GT-8, GT-100 and GT-1.
I found the GT-1 amp simulations better.

Uh?
So ... are the GT-1 amp models an actual improvement over the GT-001 / GT-100 v2?

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I'm interested in the answer, please.
