Can't seem to find any Au plugins for piezo to condenser sim.
like the one in the link
http://www.uaudio.com/uad-plugins/guitar-bass/sound-machine-wood-works.html
but one that works as a au plugin.
Has anyone come across something like this ?

I play Country music too, I'm just not sure which country it's from...

No one ?
It's odd there's quite a few hardware units that does this piezo to condenser emulation
so I'd thought that there would be a few plugins at least

Would be a very useful tool. Please update this thread if you find a good solution :)

Today there are a few Mic modeling AU plugins that can be used to similar effect

or use a different DAW than Logic / Garageband  - one that does not restrict you to running only AU plugins
https://documentation.apple.com/en/logicpro/usermanual/index.html#chapter=10%26section=13%26tasks=true
QuoteImportant: Logic Pro cannot act as a host for plug-ins in VST or RTAS format. There are, however, utilities such as the VST to Audio Units Adapter (http://www.fxpansion.com), that "wrap" Mac OS X versions of VST plug-ins to create virtual Audio Units. Once wrapped, most of these plug-ins behave, and can be used, just like Audio Units.

There are VST host apps on Mac too

Just to be clear, Brak(E)man, you are asking for a native UA plugin that does what Woodworks does? I have not come across any other plugin that can do what Woodworks can do.

I have a pair of UA Apollos, and Woodworks. It does a very good job of improving the sound of piezo pickups. And it can be loaded as an AU format plugin in your DAW. However, it will not run without UA hardware. Its DSP power can only come from UA hardware.

BTW, I do not believe that the fxpansion wrapper works with any 64 bit Mac OS. I use Studio One 3 when I want to use VST format plugins on my Mac. I will be getting a pair of MOTU AVB interfaces soon. That way I will be able to run Studio One 3 (hosting VST) on my iMac and Logic Pro X (hosting AU) on my Mac Mini. The AVB networking will keep both DAWs in sync, allowing me to run VST and AU plugins in the same project.

For a software solution, check out Vienna Ensemble Pro. From their website:

QuoteThe mixing and host software Vienna Ensemble Pro is the first MIDI and audio LAN solution that works universally on Macs and PCs, hosting Vienna Instruments as well as 3rd party VST and AU instruments and effect plug-ins.

As a hardware alternative, you can try the Fishman Aura. I have used it with some success to improve the piezo output of my Hamer Duotone. It improves the sound, but does not make the piezo sound like it an acoustic guitar being fed by a good mic.

A far more capable alternative is the Fractal Tone Match Block. Of course, you need either an FX2 or AX-8 to use the Tone Match software. I don't own either, but one of the demos I've seen online of piezo equipped guitars with Fractal's Tone Match are pretty impressive. Apparently, the key to getting good results is to use a good microphone, a good mic preamp and an actual acoustic guitar.

Once the acoustic is tone matched, you apply that tone match block to your piezo equipped guitar. I would say that the results are really close to what I get from the Woodworks plugin. Another benefit to this is that you could create tone match blocks with steel and nylon string guitars.

I understood he is seeking an Apple "AU" (Audio Unit) plug in

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_Units

that is an equivalent to  Universal Audio Sound Machine Wood Works

Edit: After a little research I found out that only the Axe FX2 (and newer) has the Tone Match block. The original Axe FX, the AX-8 and FX-8 do not.

There is also a trick with Helix for  loading Acoustic Impulse Response (IR) files  - for acoustic modeling

Maybe you can tray bias fx with bias acoustic expansion pack : "THE COMPLETE SOLUTION FOR ACOUSTIC AND ELECTRIC GUITAR PLAYERS . IT FEATURES POSITIVE GRID'S ACOUSTIC IMAGING TECHNOLOGY THAT RESTORES A STUDIO-MIKED SOUND TO YOUR UNDER SADDLE OR SOUNDHOLE PICKUP , AND COMES WITH A PREMIUM ACOUSTIC PREAMP CAN HELP YOU TO DEAL WITH ANY PLAYING CIRCUMSTANCES , THE INCLUDED MODELS ARE : ACOUSTIC IMAGE , ACOUSTIC EQ / CHORUS / REVERB , ACOUSTIC SIMULATOR AND ACOUSTIC PREAMP." (From bias fx web site) I need the same thing and is difficult to find what is better, fishman aura or a good plug in. I'm very happy with a godin nylon grand concert equipped with aura maybe because when recording alone in a home studio it's difficult to mic and record with an easy workflow an acoustic guitar. I don't have this acoustic expansion and and I'm curious about it especially about acoustic image.
