Will this case overheat my VG99?

I have the need to carry my VG99 around to Gigs and Rehearsals.
Inspired by a lot of posts on this forum I have found a solution that works great mechanically but.. will this fry my VG99?

My VG99 is hosted in an strong aluminium case used for tools with an internal soft layer of rubber.
However the wedge like shape of VG99 makes using VG99 inside this case very unpractical. The 13 pin cable bends dangerously.. so I had an idea last night. I bought some audio absorbing rubber with bumps and cut some pieces to form a negative wedge to compensate for VG99 shape. By placing this under the VG99 in the bottom of the case I have now levelled VG99 to the edge of the lower part of the case and the 13 Pin cable does not bend anymore.
However I am worried that surrounded by this rubber foam in the bottom side VG99 will overheat. (see attached pictures).
I could add wood wedges and leave space between VG99 bottom and the case bottom but I'm feeling safer with rubber foam in the bottom.

What do you think?

Pasha,

If the foam insert is under the VG99 with the bumps aiming up, you should get adequate air flow around it. My VG99 has been living in a case permanently for 6+ years and has been used in direct sunlight with hot weather many times. No failures yet.

MusicMan65, thanks for reply!
It was with bumps reversed, now up as you suggested.  ;D

The previous case just broke.
The replacement is now even better. More space for my CTRL3/4 pedals and EV5 and a little more order in a Dexter tool aluminum case.Foam on the floor with the bumps up like in the previous project and planning to do some adjustments. The spacers in the case were useful to separate USB cable from Power Supply and the rest of cables.
Nothing compared to all the good DYI projects I see here but my little contribution  ;)
