I mentioned I was working on this a while back and almost forgot to put it up. I have been using this live and it works pretty good. The 12 string patch is set up so that you do not have to use a capo.

The demo has one stereo track with FlashHotelCali.mid, one stereo track with FlashJBBass.mid, one stereo track with Flash Nylon.mid, and one stereo track with FlashB3RockOrgan.mid. No added effects just straight out of the VG into ProTools, then mixed.

I have a patch I use for some of the harmony stuff but not all. The other guitarist and I play some of it live. If anyone is interested in them let me know.

Demo and patches used in demo below. You must be a member and signed in to see the files to download.

Let me know if you need the lead patch with harmony. I was waiting to see if there was any interest before I did a little demo and put it up.

I'm interested in hearing/seeing how you did the harmony part.

These are nice patches. As already stated, they're much better than the preset one.

thanks
d!

Sorry for the delayed reply. I just got in from the road. I will put it up this week.
Glad you like the patches. They have worked well this past week in our show.

I use the 12 string patch on a tune of mine and I hit an open E chord and someone in the room said "HOTEL CALIFORNIA!" before I could even do anything else.

It's amazing how correct the tonalities in these patches are.

Brent - you have any new ones you've been working on?
My music projects online at http://www.aliensporebomb.com/

Thanks! Not sure if this can even be done with the GR because it cannot do the harmonies and you need it to switch faster between patches so, IMHO, this one needs the VG-99.

I think I did work on the outro harmonies at one time but I am not sure if I posted what I did, I will have to investigate. Remind me if you don't see an answer soon.
Thanks! :)

Hey alien, I am sorry to say since I retired in 2009 I have spent more time with my "6 shooters" (AKA Colt 45s) than my six string toys. So the answer is no but, I may fire the VG up soon and work on a new batch. It will probably be alternate tuning patches since that is really where the VG shines IMHO. Like this song, a single guitarist could pull this off with the VG-99, just need to work out the ending. It would not be perfect but it would be pretty cool for one guitar in a band. :)
