Of course this comes out days after I bought an FS-6!  >:(

These look really awesome.  I wonder when they'll be available.

Can't say that I like the two switches mounted one above the other. Still struggling not to hit the wrong one on the GP-10. I'll stick with the FS-6. Roland UK say the FS-7 will be available in store October.

The SBX-1 Sync Box looks like it could be useful but haven't worked out what for yet!

Seeing the GP-10 in photos, I expected to feel the same way - especially since Roland put the CTL switches up top and the patch change switches on the bottom - but in practice it felt fine to me.  There's enough mechanical resistance that I could feel my way around the pedals and rest my foot on one before finally kicking in.  It's one of those cases where the design is really tied in with the execution, i.e. if the feel had been even slightly different, the positioning would have been a disaster.

So, I'm digging the efficiency of the FS-7.  I could see putting two or three side by side and running them to my Kemper, etc.  The only downside (if I understand the specs. correctly) is you can't run these on 9V batteries - you either run an AC adaptor (which I'd probably never do) or forego the LEDs.  :(

Boss just announced the FS-7, a compact dual Footswitch. The switches follow recent Boss designs and look like the switches on the GP-10.

Not available yet, but check out the Boss new gear site.

Nice thank you!
I do not have experience with GP-10 but it seems that the two switches are too close each other for error free operation or am I missing something?

Pasha

I have always wondered who buys those cheap, 20x overpriced momentary footswitches. Now the answer may be ME! LOL

This is the first one I've seen that really offers any engineering/features that would be hard to top with homemade hardware. I really love this style switch on the GP-10. Actually I've kind of forgotten how slick they are, because I use them on autopilot - foot just goes to sound, no thought, no problems. And I have USA size 14 feet - many foot controllers are problematic for me.

Good good stuff.

I must maintain a minimum "real estate width" on most  stages I perform on.

I like the FS-7 design which matches the current 2014 Roland pedal density paradigm ( Boss ME-80, Boss  GP-10 )
