VG-99 Tempo-Synced Effects Not Accurate?

Before I go nuts trying to figure out if it's me, has anyone else noticed an issue w/ beat synced effects like Slicer, Phaser (w/ steps), etc?

Both internal & external MIDI sync.

I think it's more than just whether you hit a note exactly on the beat.

For example take a basic patch and assign A/Mod1 to Slicer, Pattern 1, 1/8 notes
Set up a 1/8 note delay on B, w/ effect level 100, feedback 100.

Even if you exactly nail the start and they start out in sync, they drift apart.

I first noticed this when trying to use beat-synced effects in the VG-99 while it is slaved to a MIDI clock which also drives other gear (arpeggiators, my Boomerang III, etc)

The other gear stays clock-locked, the VG-99 drifts, and DOES NOT 'reset' on new notes, etc.  Sometimes restarting the external clock works, other times, no.  Sometimes changing patches, or setting the VG-99 clock back to internal and back to MIDI again resyncs the effects, sometimes not.  Wish there was a  100% reliable way to resync the VG-99's beat-synced effects to the clock/each other.

Anybody else noticed this?

Thanks.
