Title: Form a local "VGuitar Users Group" in your area!
Post by: Elantric on February 13, 2011, 10:46:42 AM
Who is interested in organizing a local VGuitar User Group in your area for face to face scheduled meetings with other VGuitarists?
Internet Forums are good for networking with others with similar goals, but nothing replaces the face to face sharing of techniques and knowing others in your locale that you can share VGuitar ideas.
We have many members all over the globe, and resources are here at VGuitarforums to assist in the organization of this process to form a local VGuitar User Group in your region:

The Calendar
https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?action=calendar (https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?action=calendar)

Soon we will be adding more resources here at VGuitarForums to assist in the creation of several regional VGuitar Users Groups around the globe.

We are also working on scheduled Skype Video sessions, for a virtual VGuitar Users Meeting online.

If you are inclined to help spearhead the formulation of a local VGuitar User Group in your area, lets use this area of the forum to make connections,  post local events, meeting schedules, etc.

Lets do it!

Vic
I'm a life-long Tampan as well. Living in the country in the Plant City area now.

I gig several times a month, with the VG99/Variax acoustic, in a duo in the Tampa/Lakeland/Wesley Chapel/Ruskin areas. Let me know if you're playing out somewhere and I'll try to get out and see you.

San Francisco Bay Area User Group anyone?

I'm in the East Bay; but willing to travel up to an hour or so to meet.
I have a GR-55, V-Bass, VGA-7, GR-1, GR-700 (my first. GR), experience with and access to GR-30 & GR-33 and have multiple GK, piezo and GKB equipped guitars and basses; and various midi controllers, amps, etc. I can organize with a shop in Hayward to have a workshop on one off or regular basis. We can probably find other locations too. If other users in the area want to meet, drop me a line via PM for my email address.

Anyone interested in setting up a UK Forum?

I don't know how many members there are over this side of the water. Maybe we could do our own version of Group Buys! Something to ask Roland on UK GR-55 Day on 12th May. BTW - has anyone signed up for a GR-55 session at their local Roland Planet Store?
