Insights on DSP Amp Modeling  - from old Fender Cyber Twin dealer training DVD

That's an intriguing video.  I always liked the concepts behind the Cyber Twin (i.e. building out a few key amp circuits rather than emulating everything in DSP) but I never actually heard one.  The points about the amp responding appropriately when controls are tweaked or when it's otherwise driven into different operating states really caught my attention, as this is something I see as a weakness in even the best DSP amps, e.g. the Kemper.

So what's the general consensus - did the Cyber Twin sound good enough to warrant looking out for a used one?  It seems a little suspect that the design went out of production as fast as it did.

I know several locals who use the Cyber Deluxe with excellent results

The Cyber Amps have MIDI I/O Control

Very interesting, I had dismissed these amps as cheap solid state rubbish without really doing any research. If they can do things like reconfigure the tube circuit with different resistors and capacitors and move the tone stack from the "Marshall end" of the circuit to the "Fender end" then that's really quite impressive, especially as there's none of the switching thump you might expect from that kind of change.
