SY-300 - Pitch range up

I finally plugged in my Fender 4 string Electric mandolin tuned one octave up from
DGBE on a regular guitar.
But as nice as it sounds in the lower register, read 24th fret of a regular guitar,
everything above seems to be a dud, no synthsound except noise like a piano hammer without the string sound, anyone else experienced this ?
I can't find anything in the manual about upper range

Correct the SY-300 "features"  an intentional brickwall input frequency filter, it aids tracking by removing "out of band" noise
