Whoa!!!!!  :o

I was thinking about putting a little pedalboard together with Two Notes "Le Clean", "Le Lead" & Torpedo C.A.B pedal when I saw a post reply saying if you want to try a great preamp pedal try a FredAmp.  Having never heard of them I checked out their website and Demo videos.

Has anyone tried any of these units?   The build quality looks very good, I'm thinking about giving either the Lawgiver or Cornwell a try along with a Torpedo CAB.

I haven't any experience with FredAmp products, so I can't comment on them.

I do own a reasonably good selection of tube preamps, amps, modelers and pedals. So I will hazard an opinion.

I have been looking at getting a Torpedo reload for my studio. I like the Two Notes sound, value and quality.

I am also waiting for Synergy Amps to ramp up production. They have a nifty approach to modular preamp design, loosely based on Randall and Egnater modular designs. These don't use clones of the preamps, though. These are also more fully featured, with dual tone stacks designed by the actual OEM's, sag control, improved analog cab sim, and they are even backwards compatible with Randall's original MTS modules. If you are willing to face an uncertain waiting period, this might be your best bet.

But bottom line, my opinion is that you should go with a real tube preamp or amp for your primary setup. Don't worry about whether it fits on your pedal board.
