Has anyone written out any of their patch settings so I can try them wothout using pc or software?

An idea for you.... look at the 'built in' patches that are close to sounds you want. Then, play with the settings through the edit mode. If you get something you like, then save it to the user patch area.

Yes on a chalkboard after I misbehaved in GR-55 Programming class ;)

If you have access to a PC or a Mac or a Linux box you can use gumtowns GR-55 floorboard editor download all patches from here , load them into the editor without the GR 55 present

Gumtown has included a utility in the GR-55 Floorboard Editor that can make a text file patch listing dump with all parameter settings
then you could Print that list out and hand enter each GR-56 setting when you get access to your GR 55

but it'll be much simpler if you can find a cheap laptop and use it with your GR 55 with Guntowns GR-55 floorboard editor
