hello everybody, I have a problem with my VG99: every instrument I select has no volume. In order to get a sound I need to select the instrument, go to page 1 and raise the volume. But if I change preset or if I exit, the volume will turn down to zero again.

Any idea on how to solve this? I contacted Roland Italy but they have no clue and they offer no help at all... and to think that I have spent big $ buying roland and boss...

You may have a controller set that is turning it down. Are you using GK3, and any foot controllers?

Mauro

I don't use any foot controller and my guitar (frameworks jazz guitar) is connected straight to the GK in

I am not familiar with that guitar so someone else may need to jump in for an answer. You may just need to turn the control knob up on your guitar (if it has one) or set the VG up not to receive any volume change control.

Mauro

the guitar has 3 knobs. one of them is the volume. the funny thing is that I have not touched any of the programs on the VG and it has never had problems. then, suddenly, this happened. And I have also executed the factory reset....

There are GLOBAL settings that can be set to volume so you don't necessarily have to change a preset. You may want to look at https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?board=62.0. There may be an answer in that section.

Most Frameworks instruments (Germany) employ RMC Piezo pickups, but often the focus is Guitar to MIDI  -not VGyitar systems

It's important the 3 way mix switch is in the middle "Mix" position for most VG-99 patches.

But some Frameworks RMC installations skip installing this important 3 way switch

Might try a different 13 pin cable, what you describe can occur if the 13 pin cable becomes intermittent
