Here is a tip that makes using the VG-99 Librarian a little quicker. After you read all the information into the librarian you do not have to copy and paste all of it into a blank pane. There is a duplicate command in the file menu that will do that for you. If you are not editing your patches you can also export all data after you have done the read step and then import it and none of the cut and paste is required.

Read the Help File for the VG-99 Librarian,

"2. Overview of How Librarian is Used
VG-99 Librarian is divided into a "Main window" and a "Library window."
The Main window is used for reading data from, and writing data to the VG-99. The Library window is
used for editing the content of saved files.
To move data read in from the VG-99 from the Main window to the Library window, use "Duplicate,"
"Copy," "Insert," or other such commands (refer to "4-1. Data path").

Offline Patch re-sorting  Procedure would be:

1) Connect the VG-99 to your computer and save all your patches as a "G9L" file - burn it to a disk or copy it to your USB thumb drive.

2) Install the VG-99 Librarian on your Work PC - Load your G9L file.

3) Use Copy, Delete, Insert, commands to move all your patches around in the Bank sequence you prefer.

4) Save this as a New G9L file

5) Go Home and use the VG-99 Librarian to load your tweaked G9L file.

*** No VG-99 required for steps 2-4
