QuoteDo we know that the GK output is strong enough to drive parallel loads without any buffering?
Sure -thats how all Roland US20's A/B/Y splitters work for past 20 years

Remember  - Roland GKP-2 is simply a passive  Y cable with no connects for pin's #12 & 13 on the "B out - to avoid shorting +7VDC & -7VDC Power rails between multiple GK Processors.

Observe that only one 13 pin Male DIN Plug on Roland GKP-2 GK Parallel Y-cable is labeled "POWER"   - the remaining 13 pin Male DIN Plug has No connection on Pins #12 & #13.

The  diodes prevent damage to the
connected GK 13 Processors but still allow GK3 S1/S2 switches to function for both units

Only one power source for connected GK-3 or accessories (US-20, GKP-4, etc.

If I wanted to use this Y splitter cable to add one more 13 pin out to a Roland US 20 unit selector, I should

1.plug it into the non-powered unit B 13 pin output Jack on the US 20.

2.Or doesn't it matter which 13 pin output Jack I plug it into on the US 20 because I still would only have one powered 13 pin plug.

And if I wanted to use that Cheapo 13 pin Y splitter cable on eBay I should only plug it into the unit B 13 pin Jack on the US 20. Correct?

So I bought a cheapo one of these on eBay and it didn't work...if I pull pins 12 and 13 do you think it would work? Or would I risk damaging my units?

eBay is a buyer beware market for these types of cables.
