When I first got the GP-10 there were a lot of heavy overdriven guitar sounds but none really resembled the analog gear that I use a lot besides the GK/VG gear.

So I put this together.  I don't have a demo for you but try it out.

I've found it works well on the standard guitar pickups too.  In fact, a mix of the GK pickup and the analog pickups was the best for me.

My recommendation on this patch is to use your volume knob a lot.  Tone too.  It reacts quite a lot like a real guitar amplifier in that lower levels produce nicely dynamic capability and if you crank it it overdrives very nicely.

I'll do a demo a bit later if anyone wants.

Killer man - unreal soundscape , that first lead into the song at about
45 sec has a classic tone going - then it got fatter , very good .

Thanks , this is a keeper .

The more I play this patch the better it is - the scaling from non-distorted to distorted is about the closest to the gradation you get from going from clean to dirty on a tube amp.

I also use this with the standard input - I've tried both active and passive pickups and I'm surprised.  I really dig the way it compresses and distorts when you crank it up.  The fact that you don't need a GK pickup to make it go that's pretty neat.

I'm going to have to try and port this over to the VG-99.

I never did do it on the VG-99 but I have a different overdrive sound for that I like.

This was the GP-10 demo I did in its final form:

I ended up putting it on a record I did around the time of the pandemic:
