If you have A GP-10 and laptop

details on using N.I. Reaktor here

https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=7772.0

The big deal is the Boss GP-10 with its 6 Channel USB Streaming Audio I/O  will allow six separate instances of N.I. Reaktor to process each String separately.

Looks interesting , tried to find info about windows vs Mac.
Does it work on both ?

(You also gave me a idea how to use the SY when recording
It'll take 7 times as long but it'll be truly polyphonic.)

I play Country music too, I'm just not sure which country it's from...

realy,i also dont see (or hear) a big problem with cords.
Maybe it also depents on the style one is playing? I do fingerpicking, mostly with easy cords from two to for notes. Maybe the SY is not so strumming friendly?

No need for a hex pickup was one of the main reason to by the SY, not beacuase im afraid of hex pickups - i simply will use it in future for other instruments.... im dreaming about building special instruments for the SY.......
Seconded. I guess we all have features (or lack thereof in some cases) that we latch on to with new products. If there ever is a wireless GK system (paging Gumtown); I would totally consider jumping ship back to GK land. For what I need it for; the SY just does the trick.

and for many folks - the fact that SY-300 can be used in a wireless guitar system is the main attraction

guitar on the left was 100% wireless and used with SY-300 at 2016 LA Amp Show

DR Wayne Joness N.I. Reaktor patch  is either Mac or PC

Mark Smarts GR-300 app is a totally different thing
A monophonic guitar synthesizer that processes audio input from an electric guitar. The tracking algorithm is based on the blindingly fast analog pitch tracker of the Roland GR-300.

It's good that it works for some , that might keep Roland going.
To me it's not a lack of a feature , it's a feature promised that doesn't work.
I should have tried it first  ::)
But I have been and still are very happy with most Roland and Boss gear
Favorites all the Vgs , the D550 , DD20 and my GR 700 etc etc

I strum and it works fine for me. I play 7ths and extended chords without a problem and I'm not approaching music differently because of the box. Everyone is different and the box does have problems with close voiced intervals/chords, but that isn't a problem for me. I like the SY-300.
