I'm Jay,

Just bought the SY300.
I've played guitar and keyboards for a long time.
I'm not a little kid with Daddy's money.

Nice to meet all of you...

It sounds good, but we'll need to raise the tempo up one octave.

BBach

Welcome. I bet you're really going to enjoy the SY300, even if you had to pay for it yourself.

I can't be sure of the impression that you've gathered, but you might be surprised by the average age of the the members of this forum. They're probably much older than you'd expect.

I'm closing in on 50, but like Indiana Jones said, "It ain't the years, it's the miles."

Yeah, but what's your median age, eh?

My waist is the same age as my head and feet

Sorry Jay, we made your introduction post weird. Not everyone here remembers the JFK assassination or the Beatles first Ed Sullivan show. I'd venture that some here are too young to remember the O.J. Trial. We've got a full spectrum of ages, experience, and philosophical bents. Again, welcome and enjoy.

...and Welcome from a 68-Year-old in Australia..   ;D

Enjoy the Forum; I know we all do!

Cheers,
Peter

I had a dream my wife ran off into the snowy night, in her pajamas, calling for her dead mother, disappearing forever. That should give you a good idea of how time rests on my shoulders.

It sounds good, but we'll need to raise the tempo up one octave.

Well I remember all of it.. Did I just date myself ? At this age I don't care.
I'm  old enough to know how much I didn't know when I was half of my age.
And now I just don't care !!! :)

61 here

but just like Neil Young - I don't feel old!

We actually have some friends/ acquaintances in common.

I knew some of the Micky Ratt boys from San Diego.
I'm from Calif. Malibu, just moved to NY.
I know Robin... and his Brother Cliff Schuchart.

It sounds good, but we'll need to raise the tempo up one octave.

I used to work time to time in Sorento Valley, near San Diego (SAIC)

I toured with Bobbie Blotzer for a few years in the late 1970's

But we only talk to each other for 10 minutes every 20 years to "catch up" on which friends have died and which are still living;)

Although I'm aware of Mickey Ratt - the "Ratt" I know are these:

Same guys .... Mickey Ratt came first , then developed into RATT !

I still know Cliff Schchart : his bio ( his brother from Mickey Ratt ) ended up in " Autograph "

Since June of 1967, i have played in over 17 working rock bands, have toured all over the US and Canada, recorded, played major concerts, major clubs, alot of musicians i played in bands with ended up signed in the 80's and were national touring rock bands, and regulars on MTV back in the 80's. My brother was in Autograph who were tripple Platinum, and I played with musicians from early members of RATT. Two songs i co wrote were re-recorded by them on thier first major album. Also released a single with the band
Jumalaya in 1976 "Some Sign" in San Diego.
Also recorded studio demos with Dunes, Mac
Meda and Secret Service.
Played my first Major Concerts opening for
Fletwood Mac, Blue Oyster Cult, T-Rex
Triumverat, at age 20. Was a regular on the
Sunset Strip Metal Hair Band Scene in late
70's early 80's.
I retired from the Rock scene back in the 80's
and am semi-retired musicaly.
It sounds good, but we'll need to raise the tempo up one octave.

Great bio - is this you?
