Last weekend i bought a second hand FC300. I am a long time FCB1010 with UNO user. I was hoping to have better control of my laptop. I use pedalboard 2 which accepts standard Program Change messages.

FC300 is connected to the VG99 through RRC, and my Macbook through USB

Now I've come so far that i can do a program change from the FCB-300 in Standard mode, but I have to disconnect MIDI directly from the VG-99 and connect it to the RRC port, so guitar-to-midi no longer works now.

Has anyone found a way to do both at the same time?

Found a solution to trigger a program change from the FC300 through USB-MIDI, but it is a lot of work. By changing the PC number in the guitar-to-midi section of the VG-99 through sysex from the FC-300 in Patch mode, a PC message is send from the VG-99. If you send the following codes:

PC1: 00  F0 41 00 00 00 1C 12 60  00 00 2A 00 01 75 F7
PC2: 00  F0 41 00 00 00 1C 12 60  00 00 2A 00 02 74 F7
PC3: 00  F0 41 00 00 00 1C 12 60  00 00 2A 00 03 73 F7
PC4: 00  F0 41 00 00 00 1C 12 60  00 00 2A 00 04 72 F7
PC5: 00  F0 41 00 00 00 1C 12 60  00 00 2A 00 05 71 F7
PC6: 00  F0 41 00 00 00 1C 12 60  00 00 2A 00 06 70 F7
PC7: 00  F0 41 00 00 00 1C 12 60  00 00 2A 00 07 6F F7
etc...

As you can see one number increases and the next one decreases on every step.

So it can be done, but it's not for the faint-hearted.

i am beginning to like the FC300, but wish MIDI routing was better on the VG99...
