VG 99 sends doubled Midi Signal into Logic Pro 9

HI,

after some testing I now found that the VG 99 sends a doubled MIDI SIgnal (Score editor in Logic Pro 9 shows two overlayed notes in the Score Editor). I then disconnected the MIDI routings in the system settings (VG99) as well as the VG-99 Main Block which connects graphically to USB. So Logic now receives only the one desired single MIDI Signal. Allright, But...

My questions:
Although disconnecting any possible connection inside the VG System settings, I have a MIDI and Audio SIgnal into Logic Pro via USB

What are the System MIDI/Routing Settings (Page 2 System Menu) then exactly for? Seems I don´t´t quite understand the signal flow, I guess...
