Hello,

I am using an Irig IO with a MIDI Solutions Quadra Thru. The Quadra Thru is supposed to be powered by midi but the Irig does not supply voltage via its midi ports.

Instead of purchasing the Midi solutions power adapter which I do not have room in my rack for, is there a way to solder an adapter lead to the midi out plug of the irig? I would of course use a solder type plug instead of a molded plug that comes with the Irig. I was just curious what is the pinout to solder an adapter to the midi plug to power the Quadra Thru.

Thanks

A different  DC Powered MIDi Thru box might be a better solution for you)

the MIDI Solutions box "Achilles Heal" is the POWER requirement from the MIDI OUT port on the upstream third party device

Solution is purchase the MIDI Solutions Power box

or insert a third party DC Powered MIDi Thru box

OK thanks, I was hoping I could solder a solution but at that price, I'll purchase a Kenton thru 5. Appreciate the help!
